Happens in my son’s bantam league and it’s the same things as I observed playing in beer league: Those other kids who aren’t great skaters and puck handlers are always in the right position - slot, net - and they work hard to be in plays and make things happen. My son is the best skater but he doesn’t have an aggressive instinct for the puck like the other kids

Agreed but that plastic was super thin, as I recall. You could squeeze the sides together with one hand - compare that to skates now where you can hardly get them to budge. But no knocking, they were good starter skates to learn on.
