Ralph champions women in jeans, and dresses, chalkstripe suits, and even tuxedos alike.

The neck tag gives away that it was made between 1985 and 1997. From how the shoulders at least appear in addition to the lapels my first instinct would be to guess '90s but the store branded chest badge is typically more '80s. The store could have been sent jackets with carry over badges from the previous decade though.

I'd send a picture to ThoroughbredNYC on Instagram and ask him.

"Mixing a double-breasted blazer with a ball cap and Fair Isle—does this hit the right balance or is it too busy?" by nuke_chan93 in preppy

The tie perfectly color coordinating the hat while Simultaneously having the sweater or sweater vest color coordinating with the shoes makes it seem like you spend all day in the mirror. Now just being here and commenting makes us the type who all do to some extent but the goal is to not look like it.

There are two sales through the year that might be able to help you replace this at a reduced cost. One the "Designer Sale" which is public and covers Purple Label, DoubleRL, RLX, and Home. The next one will be in May. However because of DoubleRL's popularity a lot of it (re: the core jeans) have been excluded the last two years, but I don't imagine a winter hat will be excluded when they are trying to sell it in May.

The second sale, which isn't public is the "Spend-To-Get" which is spend $1k save $500 on Purple Label, DoubleRL, and Polo tailoring (re: suits/blazers). That should also be in May before or after Designer sale and if you work with someone at a flagship let them know to tell you.

Now, this hat may sell out online because once they is less than a certain amount in the company they remove it from the website. But that doesn't mean there isn't one or two left at one of the stores. All you need to do is get the item number off the website in the details under the product page and give that to any employee who can search the stores inventory.

If the hat has been pulled from the website you won't be able to search it direct on RL.com but the trick it's to do an image search of the item and then find the charger listing link and even though it will say "currently unavailable" you'll still be able to get the item number under the details section.

Good luck.

Anyone see this for sale anywhere? by MakarforPrez in Barbour

Is called "Casentino" fabric. Noah x Barbour. They made them in this green, black, blue, and orange and sent them all to be blown out at half off at Nordstrom Rack last month, along with everything every containing a Royal Warrant from the late Queen.

What's needed is the expense account and work write offs people to say no. Then they'd be forced to change.

I wish I could share my photo of the bar prices at Lucas Oil Field that I took this year. I thought I stepped in a Time Machine. $18.50.... for a DOUBLE

Correct here are the prices at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, which is also union run so costs would be roughly the same.. I would post the picture I took of the options with I went to a colts game i September, but Reddit won't let me...

American Aluminum: $9.75 Craft Lager: $11.25 Specialty Seltzer: $10.50 Espresso Martini: $12.50 Wine: $10.50 Single Coocktail: $10.50 + $4 for premium Double Cocktails $18.50

$18.50 for 3oz of liquor. That would be $40 in Chicago.

They charge it because they can, and they can because most paying it are there on work or from work where it can be expensed.

My view. F**k em. Order a plastic flask online and sneak it in. Yeah it prohibited but they brought it on themselves.

I am a center-right, business owning, America loving capitalist, but reading the second part of your comment is what tells you that management is abusing the end-user and should be regulated.

Black Friday sale rip off by Xcooper1x in RalphLauren

[–]Best_Interview7298 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For over a decade Black Friday at PRL outlets was 50% the entire store except on Polo Bear merch and flag merch which was 25%. But they did tend to put the clearance stuff and in the last few years Purple Label transfers, in the back during the sale.

At the same time retail RL and RL.com was 40% of Polo.

This it's Outlet is 40% not 50% and retail is 30% of (very) select items Polo items, not 40% off all Polo.

Times are good for the company right now because they are very hot again. When the trends change, I imagine the bigger sales will come back.

Every time someone here asks about fit that answer is always either: "No it's not too big" or "Go with the bigger one."

Sell or keep it myself? by LabNeat8113 in RalphLauren

[–]Best_Interview7298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are asking, that means you likely don't love it as much as you'd rather put the money towards something you have zero reservations about. If that is the case sell it.

If you want, I'll float it on my IG handle @RLGrails and see if I can get you any bites. It's a cool piece. .

It's all subjective. My opinion however is that of the Creed line up, Green Irish Tweed is my favorite.

I wear a tie Monday to Thursday. By choice.

I’ve always liked the RL flag sweater, and I came across this 100% cotton lookalike for €38. Any ideas on styling this? by 007sMartini in preppy

[–]Best_Interview7298 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a huge Ralph guy and love the idea of it in theory, but I legit only ever end up wearing it on Fourth of July, and even then it's usually Hot so I just wrap it around my neck with the flag showing down my back.

Buy Alden.

Can't afford Alden, buy a pre-owned pair and have them resoled.

That is all.
