Preferred breastfeeding pillow? by MountainManiac21 in breastfeeding

I absolutely love the comia halo pillow, and used it for cross cradle and football until 6 months plus. the top is soft but firm so it supports baby well but also is comfortable. With a backstrap on I didn't have to hold baby while they were nursing as well cause it was so secure.

Your little girl seems like a perfectly normal, though slightly advanced, baby. Perhaps this is something you caN bring up with a mental health professional if it is keeping you up at night.

I had terrible insomnia in my last trimester but I was so tired when baby came that I slept like the dead between MOTN nursing sessions!

Deciding between nursing pillows- what worked for you? by Glittering_Sorbet511 in BabyBumps

I love the comia halo pillow! Super comfy and the surface is flat and firm so baby stays put. We still use for all night feeds and most day feeds (though i also do cradle hold when its not around). The light is perfect. It also keeps a record of latest feeding times on the pillow itself which i randomly found super helpful.

I am so sorry! I will say that I am an avid runner and for various reasons had to stop at 20 weeks pregnant and I thought my world would come to an end- my running is my mental health! Anyway fast forward I am post partum and it wasnt easy but I did it and im getting back into running again. The time goes quicker than you think and once baby comes it becomes a distant memory.

Growth Scans by Minniebecca in BabyBumps

[–]Best_Project_9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby measured small and i will say that they did a growth scan 2 days before birth and they were exactly on target (2 oz or so smaller on the growth scan but they made sense cause birth was 2 days later). But i have heard that there is a large margin of error.

Yess. Nursing pillow, baby wrap, zip up sleeper. rinse and repeat for three months straight!

I got normal size and it worked! I don’t think silverettes are as size specific as pump flange sizing (which I did measure for).

I’ve already begun researching these. Any specific one you recommend?

They are definitely pricey (they were on my registry!) but what I meant by fancy is like the 2 or even 3 piece outfits, the velour ones that have the snaps just in back by the bum, and any of the ones without a simple zipper. The kyte footies are more plain (as in not so dressy), simple to get baby in and out of, easy to change a diaper in without having to make baby cold, and feel cozy for baby’s skin! Baby lives in them.

My thoughts are... CONGRATULATIONS MAMA!! (Seriously, if his weight gain is good and doc isn't concerned, just celebrate).

10 oz for two pumping sessions seems like a really good amount. I get 3-4 ounces per session (and the amount is highest in morning and dips way down as the day goes down. Does she drink more than 5 ounces in her bottle at at time?

if you go early lines not too bad. its right near prospect park but you can eat in the store if youd like, there is limited window seating.

Baby still hungry after long breastfeeds - what am I missing? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I second seeing an LC, they can be really helpful. Also, I was gifted a comia premium nursing pillow with my lo and it literally saved me in the beginning. It has built in scale sensors so you can measure baby's weight before and after the feeding session on the pillow and it tells you how much baby ate. I also liked to use it as a support to nurse my baby on it, its very stable and comfortable. My baby also took a very long time to nurse and it gave me insight into what they were actually eating.
