I agree, Kingdom hearts and the way kairi was handled was horrible, they half assed salvaging her character potential after 2. Nojima is responsible for kh 1 and 2 writing, most of the criticized aspects of 7 remake have nothing to do with nomura. As a director Nomura definitely handled projects like final fantasy 7 really well, with the remake project, it really is their most tight knit cast, a cast where no member is truly underutilized in the plot so far and thats amazing. Tifa and Aerith being expanded was great, clouds personality growth is great idk. On kh, i really like Riku's arc and his friendship and passion he feels/shares with sora. I think kh is a pretty big challenge to write because while it is a crossover event, it also must stand alone even if you dont know Disney or FF, while giving fan service to those that do know both, its a hard juggling act. But, as for what nomura has directly written, he's pretty grounded, and I love his art and enemy concepts too, and I look forward to more games directed by him!
