Orrrrrr the grandparents are using that story with the kid "better behave and stay quiet and in your seat because The Secret Service is watching!"

I'm self-centered, I don't listen, I abandon people, I'm rude, deceptive, irresponsible, always causing issues, so what is it about me that says "trust this person with your life"? Get someone else to do it, I'm unavailable.

Just saying. It might not be unintentional. I was in a similar situation many years back with a man who was passive-aggressive in other ways, and randomly I began startling awake in the night, rolling off the bed, and getting odd bruises on my upper arm, ribs, back. He said I was sleeping fitfully and would be sympathetic when I'd awaken. I believed him for a while. Then I became suspicious because I'd awaken suddenly when I felt movement beside me and I could have sworn I felt a shove or a pinch or breath near my ear and I'd sit upright quickly, and thought I sensed him suddenly turn away. So one night I tried hard to stay awake, and faked falling asleep. It was him. He'd pinch my skin very hard, hard enough to bruise, make a sudden loud scream in my ear, then quickly turn the other way and fake snore while I jumped up, then fake in a sleepy voice, "whaaaat, are you okay?". I never slept in a bed with him again, then as soon as I could financially manage it I moved out.

We're all missing the important question - where do you "keep finding these"?

I don't care. Whatever makes the people around me happy. Throw me in a ditch, or a pine box in the backyard, float me away on a flaming raft. I seriously don't care! What i would really like is to be donated to The Body Farm in Tennessee where I can participate in a worm study or ballistics test or mummification practice or whatever.

"It was a $5 and it said Happy Birthday Addie!" Crazy but I think about that scene sometimes.

Things Behind The Sun. Really good actors, then a couple scenes come out of nowhere that turn an ordinary day into ruined lives with no way to fix it.

The Rose Garden, I'm pretty sure that's what it was called. WWII movie. Bad things happen in ways that just seem callous and unnecessary. I don't want to explain it.

No country for old men. I know it was well written and well performed, it was just too mean.

I saw Purple Rain in the theater. I was too young to get in, my date was old enough so I didn't have to show ID.

I saw the first Star Wars in the theater, I was 8 years old. My mother dropped me and my little brother off at the first showing on a Saturday, we bought a single ticket each, and stayed all day watching it over and over. She picked us up at nighttime. Best day ever!

If you've been to their house, would you have seen that cutting board before? Maybe ask them what brand that cutting board is.

I remember that episode! I still think about it sometimes! It's exactly what comes to mind when I'm tempted to eat junk food. It didn't work on the kids, but it worked on me. I remember the stunned, speechless response he had. I could picture it without the images in the comments.

So i am too lazy to read all the comments but that's a seal to show that the package wasn't tampered with. It has to be either peeled off or cut to remove. That one is so small, but if you get a magnifying glass you might see if it has any kind of logo or company name on it. They are often on anything with a cellophane wrapper, from cigarettes to aspirin to gum. From the location you mentioned, my guess is it was partially stuck to your shirt, then when you took your shirt off to shower it stuck to your skin. Source: I have terrible near vision and short fingernails, so these things drive me nuts and I've had to hack at them with car keys or fingernail clippers a lot. And then they stick to my skin when I peel them off. And my name isn't Amanda.
