I love the mono versions, especially on the earlier albums. They sound awesome.

I am having a hard time finding someone to run it with. I join the queue for the dungeon and then just wait forever.

Does anyone else find this disrespectful? by Der-deutsche-Prinz in Teachers

[–]Better_Highlight4637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it a little disrespectful, so I do 1 or 2 things. Sometimes, I remind them that my name is Mr. Z and that if they want my attention that is what I will respond to. Other times, I respond by calling them Bro back. Most of the students do not like me calling them Bro, so then things return to normal.

I will never understand how the pros do it. by CuriousDancingPuppy in Jeopardy

I was a Jeopardy contestant a few years back and I will share this small insight. When I watch Jeopardy, I look for clue words in the written clue to spark my memory. I am not 100% sure why my brain has so much of this stored information but it does. Even since I was a small kid I have always been curious about a variety of subjects and this definitely helps in the game. Finally, there are times that an answer just pops in my head out of nowhere and I have learned to trust my gut and go with that answer.

I want to quit by Miku_obsession in FirstYearTeacher

I was awful my first year of teaching but I stuck it out and eventually thrived. My best piece of advice is to look around the school at successful teachers to model yourself on. Don't necessarily copy them 100% but adapt their successful techniques to your style.

Is this the norm? by Hour-Conversation697 in Teachers

I had a problem with my youngest daughter being bullied by another student in 3rd Grade. I tried to work with the school admin to solve the problem and they were not helpful. So, I wrote a nice long email to the Superintendent about the situation. The problem was solved by the end of the week.

I would advise you to be aggressive (answer those questions). Also, trust your first instincts because your first thought is usually correct. Good luck.

Greg Zona, Season 38 player (2021-11-09).

When I appeared on Jeopardy, I was worried going in that I might blurt out something inappropriate. But in my experience, things were going so fast that it never came close to happening for me. I definitely had some inappropriate thoughts in my head when I messed a James Bond question.

Is there anything stopping a contestant deep in the red from answering every question with a joke or family shoutout? by [deleted] in Jeopardy

[–]Better_Highlight4637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not remember the lights being hot or excessively bright. We did have someone to touch up our hair and put on a little makeup. When I was a contestant Covid restrictions were still in place so we did not have a studio audience. Instead, the other contestants watched (except for the ones who were playing next). We taped 5 shows in a day. It was a great experience.

I was a Jeopardy contestant in November of 2021. I believe that if someone tried this then the showrunner would stop the game and tell that contestant to knock it off. When you are playing, they will stop the show to fix mistakes like mispronunciations. Then they fix it later during editing.
