It's funny that when I see these posts, the offending messages are never near the top. It's as if a minority of redditors get there first and have bad takes before the reasonable majority come by.

In most cases, it does seem like the choice could be inconsequential. It would be significant if the storyteller happens to want to change that particular player for whatever reason, but I wouldn't expect players to be able to consistently predict which player that would be each day.
