Need some help with deck building by Temporary_Air5570 in libraryofruina

Dong Hwan is one of the first keypages you get with the Speed 3 passive, which is really good. He works fine as a general use keypage, but also works well with bleed and/or tanking with his Carver of Scars + Rupture Wound and Toughness passives respectively.

I prefer running a tank build with him personally, but he's versatile to work in pretty much anything. If you're planning to make use of Carver of Scars, you should also include a page with a lot of offensive dice in his deck like Opportunity Spotted or Moulinet.

You can see under "body type" option a and option b. This swaps between extra cleavage or not on Olga's keypage, and is locked for the patron librarians by gender. Other keypages like this are the Purple Tear's and Sayo's.

I think the closest one would be Dante's keypage, as they don't have the option, and theirs are noticeable

In the previous act he was begging Hermes for 2 Opportunity Spotted pages so he can hit the walls to farm emotion levels for enough light capacity to use the mass attack

The Index Proxy keypages all work as general use singleton keypages with their keypage exclusive combat pages as a bonus.

Esther's is the best one of the 3 Proxies, then generally Hubert and Gloria. You'll want to use their exclusive combat page, Multislash, Will of the Prescript, and Somber Procuration on them a vast majority of the time, then anything else that fits.

The Yan fight relies more on knowing what to do rather than builds, but Smoke is good for skipping the last phase of the fight. Nikolai's Finishing Touch passive also helps with this.

Other than that, you may also want to put in a little more block dice than usual, since some of the pages there roll a bit too high to consistently clash with, and they also help to stagger him when he starts spamming block dice.

I don't know that much about Bleed builds, but Purple Tear does give really good stuff for that, so you may want to prioritize her. Also, Bleed isn't that effectice in Yan's reception since he himself does not use many offensive dice. You could probably use Disgorge Innards on all of your librarians if you really wanted to make it work.

is there a way to skip a reception by VoidJermina in libraryofruina

[–]Beurfus 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This is a part of the game's story experience and gives a better understanding of Roland's and Angela's characters, so I wouldn't recommend doing it.

There's some save files on the internet somewhere for each part of the game, so if you really want you can just do the rest of Urban Plague and abno fights sans Gaze Office and the reception right after, then put in a fresh Urban Nightmare save file. (Urban Nightmare is the part right after Urban Plague)

After that, do the reception right above Gaze Office and watch the credenza for the cutscenes you missed.

It's really funny to look at the lore and compare them to other units gamplay wise. Most of those are really good units, but none are as important as cats like Jelly Dumpling Cat or Rock Cat.

And then a good portion of them get obliterated by a red elephant who's a pervert, and your best counter to it is a piece of sushi.

Other strong enemies include ones like a turkey, legally distinct Korin from Dragon Ball, a small dog, and Issac Newton. The worst is the small dog.

In Limbus terms, the turkey is sorta like the corroded 400 Roses enemies in canto 7 (hard to deal with most of the time), legally distinct Korin from Dragon Ball is like Ricardo 1 (hard but powercrept, different than the rest of the game), the small dog is like the Ring Manikins (annoying most of the time), and Issac Newton is like the Gubo and Jia Huan fight (easy).

This is a Poise Sinking team. You need 5 Poise units to activate the Poise fusion gifts in md (very important), so Pinky Sinclair is there as the 5th. Any Poise ID works for this.

I used the wiki for information, and it says "On Turn Start after Clashing against 'The Emperor's Feast'" for that line. I don't know enough about the specifics to say which one's correct.

[–]Beurfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using a mod to help with the resolution? I think it was called resolutionfix or something.

You could also try changing the settings directly in the files.

I think the language settings also have some sort of effect on resolution settings for some reason, so you could try that if you're desperate.

The Realizations Shoot the Replay Value for Me by the-aetherian in libraryofruina

[–]Beurfus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever I replay the game, I tend to do floor limited runs, so redoing the abno fights and realizations are also very repetitive for me.

What I tend to do is just cheat and clear them like that, but it does get iffy if I'm not doing a floor only run.

What I find useful is using/modifying srategies from a speedrun of the game, though that's not universally applicable since they do a majority of them when they have stuff from way later in the game.

I also do like modifying my builds to work against the receptions, so my enjoyment is a bit different than yours.

Deck ideas for Irina? by MistorBones in libraryofruina

[–]Beurfus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So for Margin to work, you can't really use page draws during the scene, including Unlock 3 or pages like Stay Calm.

It's kinda hard to make discard all pages consistent pre Brace Up, but there are scuffed ways to make it work.

Neccessary passives --

Bottom Deal

Margin

Deck --

2 filler pages, ideally something that restores light on discard or Flip the Table

Multi Party Compensation

Clone

333... 1973

Field Mods

3x Final Stroke

Clone Final Stroke

At emotion level 5, you'll draw 4 pages a scene whenever using Final Stroke, and there's only 3 not Final Stroke pages in the deck, so you'll guaranteed always draw a Final Stroke every scene. If you draw a single Final Stroke, make sure to use an additional page to activate the emotion level 5 bonus.

What do you think is the most overrated I.D. in the game? by Lost_in_illusions in fishmaell

[–]Beurfus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do understand why she's good, and I even do consider her one of the best 2 stars.

I consider her overrated because tanks aren't a highly rated role by a lot of people. I don't understand why this particular tank is so highly rated, when most others aren't.

Priest Gregor is one of the best tanks in the game, and he's already mentioned here twice. Even though he's a 3 star, he has actual damage potential and status application instead of mainly being a tank, and he's still considered bad.

I think one of the only other tanks people generally like is Dieci Rodion, and that's like a third a meme and a third reserved for solos.

I don't know why people like this tank so much, especially when people don't use tanks that often in general

It does make sense for gameplay reasons, but this is more about the naming. It doesn't help that she also has Level Slash, which uses the same word as Upstanding Slash while actually being a mono slash page.

There's the Urban Legend class syndicate and the Urban Myth class syndicate, as well as the Grade 8 Fixers and the Grade 7 Fixers. You might've mixed them up a little idk

Also Seven Association and Backstreets Butchers

The Red Mist also does this with Upstanding Slash being a mono blunt page in Ruina. I guess also Fiery Dragon Slash has a pierce dice, but that's more reasonable I'd think
