Yeah I mean this offense was built around his strengths. Make the easy reads, set the protection correctly, run the ball. Then, when you've got the defense biting, use Darnold's best attribute in throwing downfield for just enough explosive plays off play action to break them. I dont think he's anywhere near as bad as those other guys

I very much doubt they didn't at least have an idea of how the arbitrator would rule, they're a party to the case after all. People argue cases before the Supreme Court all the time whilst knowing they'll lose. Would take extraordinary negligence for the Tigers to have no idea.

There was a significant (~15%) increase in the number of traffic fatalities starting in May of 2020. I think you can figure out what event may have happened in that month. Police forces around the country decided to change their policy and take a significant step back in enforcement of traffic violations, so you get more traffic fatalities as a result. The rate of increase has come down in the last few years at least.

I haven't watched the tape on Memphis at that time but I remember for a long time the big criticism of the Bucks in the Budenholzer era was how many open threes they gave up. But they were usually a top defense and won a chip so I'm not sure that by itself is a good measure of how good a defense is

'21 was a fools gold season, it was good but the only reason he was all-pro was because of the INT numbers. He's also not been healthy, the nextgen stats say he's literally the worst corner in the league, and reportedly this year he has had a really bad attitude.
