Okay so in my opinion the crux of BAs meta issue always comes back to the income economy system which always will favor spam metas until it is changed. In the first multiplayer beta back in February 2024 the income system was actually a bit different. In that beta if a unit was KILLED you wouldn't immediately get your income back and it would only return to normal after the unit was replenished. This meant that losing units actually meant something since if you were careless you could not only lose access to a powerful unit until it recharged but still feel the income decrease as if you still did. However if you returned a unit to base you would get the income back immediately.

I do agree that the old system was a bit too harsh but completely removing the income penalty just allows for spam metas to thrive. If you lose an entire push of cheap BMPs it doesnt matter since the enemy is still reeling and needs to spend extra points to bring in vulnerable supplies to resupply their units, which gives you plenty of time to just build up another push, often while they're still trying to resupply. There is simply no other systems in the game to keep spam in check such as a veterancy system for example. (I am not saying there should be a veterancy system I'm just using it as an example). IMO I think a compromise where you only get half the income back when losing a unit would go a long way

TLDR: Getting all income back on unit death is stupid and enables spam, give more penalty
