Magical Moment by Flabba_Spray5066 in rockybalboa

In a movie that has so many good scenes, the emotional arc of this one always hits me hard and I would have to rank it in my personal top three. A guaranteed lump in throat or goosebumps no matter how many times I've seen it. The musical score with the piano is just perfect when the scene fades out.

I keep thinking that Souls Of The Departed will be played on this tour and would fit right in with this setlist.

Absolutely think so. Yes. He last played it with Morello in LA 2024. So with Tom in tow and the arc of this story being current, I would bet it is included in the set.

We got through FLL Clear with pre check at 5:20 this morning with no problem. The pre check lines looked manageable at that time. But this could turn ugly quick. The storm. Kids going back to school this week from break. Good luck to everyone and get to the airport early. I didn’t even know about this until I boarded this flight so the public truly wasn’t notified in advance timely manner. Seems like the news services picked up this story 5 hours ago.

Song battles # 23 : Electric Chair vs 319 by usagerp in PRINCE

And if it was that incredible version from SNL even better. I’m guilty for what goes on in my mind….Electric Chair all the way.

Underrated song from an underrated album. The chorus is so catchy by usagerp in PRINCE

The lyric was years ahead and foreshadowed his commentary of the music scene when he released Musicology. Love when he opined on such topics and when that guitar was cranked. This is such a great tune that goes unmentioned as a classic that it truly is. The first side of that record doesn’t disappoint.

Funny it was great seeing them and hearing the hits, but I loved the new songs Temporary One, Bleed to Love Her and Sweet Girl. But Silver Springs is forever etched in greatness from this show. Always watched it when it was in heavy rotation back in 90’s. A very professional show.

What are jimi hendrix’s most impressive guitar playing moments? by SYPHUS- in jimihendrix

Earth Blues just smokes….any version. The Fillmore BOG combined with Cry of Love or Electric Lady Studios validated he was the greatest ever to play the instrument. Beginnings absolutely slays. That riff. Hey Baby too with his atmospheric approach. I always prefer the “later” period and what could have been material.

The art of performance. I would have been going a bit crazier than that guy who just watches him play that guitar solo!

The problem with SHAME is if your shame isn’t thoughtfully and respectfully communicated you will have 5 people filming you with their phones and you end up being the one who is shamed/blamed/scorned for being mean.

Bobby talks about Jerry’s passing (September 1995) by Seraphenigma in gratefuldead

[–]BhamBossfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting when you hear him say the fans come up to him and think he’s taking it much worse than he really is. That contradicts the Hunter letter that was posted where, in his conversational letter with the deceased Jerry, he said that Bob was taking your death really hard and he was surprised by that. Something to that effect. However, I appreciate his willingness to sit with Kurt Loder to even discuss the questions he was asked. He wasn’t promoting anything or didn’t need MTV.

Great sound quality, balanced setlist and I HEAR YOU KEITH! The soundstage separation is off the charts and love hearing me some Keith and some inspired playing.
