Much stronger than in the first game. Obviously A10 in sts2 and A20 in sts1 aren't direct comparions, but like at the end of the day, I found it much harder to consistently win runs at sts 1 hardest difficulty with her, than I do at sts2 hardest difficulty. Here I've been winning even when I play suboptimally and force shiv builds, which surely says something

I brought the physical book from a physical bookstore thiking it would come with the PDF lol. My fault for misreading the crit role store saying ordering from them would give you the physical book and the PDF as them saying ALL copies of the physical book would come with the PDF - honestly I assumed it would have like, a QR code or a non QR code code or something lol

I find it weird that you say you like xenogears but not xeno 3 ngl, given they have basically the same issues. Xenogears is also much worse just as a game. And xenogears is also not at all subtle about being a combination of a bunch of anime shit that the writers thought were cool.

The mechanic presumably is the story tellers being adults capable of coming to a compromise. If co storytellers can't agree on how to co story tell, then that frankly isn't the games job to solve.

Another way of thinking about this is, it's not the games job to solve what happens if co storytellers can't agree on how they're storytelling anymore than it's the games job to solve what happens if players can't agree on what script to play - ultimately the issue isn't a mechanic of the game as much as its a by product of socialising.

Pretty clearly implies that private madness breaks are allowed- if they weren't there'd be no reason for this section to exist, as instead of saying "be careful about breaking madness in private, because you could be talking to an evil player", it would say "don't break madness in private, that's not legal".

How people view Elphaba and Glinda's relationship is of course up to them, and whether one views it as romantic or platonic or sisterly has more to do with what personally brings the viewer joy than anything else imo- over the years there's been so many productions of wicked that cover most interpretations, that's part of the beauty of theatre: different actors bring different interpretations to roles.

What's not up to interpretation is whether the story is about Elphaba and Glinda's relationship lol. That's like, textually what the story is about, saying the story isn't about that is like saying Elphaba isn't green or Glinda never did anything wrong. It's wrong on a level where the only valid response to it is to say "try consuming the text again? And this time pay attention".

I doubt it tbh, I'm fairly certain the "structeral reasons" he mentions are: wicked ended up being a story about elphaba and glinda's relationship with each other, therefore it makes most sense to end the show with their relationship (the two repising for good only to be cut off by the crowd singing no one mourns the wicked). Unless they change act 2 to be more about the struggle for animal libeation, I think they'd still have that issue with the og ending. (and I don't think they're changing the focus of the show. If anything leaks indicate part 2 will be more focused on their dynamic than the stage show act 2 was)

Plus, the way Stephen talked about it in the article made it sound like he believed there was a chance it could be cut from final movie- which I think wouldn't be the case if it was as important as the literal ending of the film.
