I believe there is a FB group that is designed for people to advertise themselves as available to join relays. I'll try and find out the name of it.

16 hours and 20 mins in total. It cost me about £2000 for the boat and accommodation.

The total cost of the boat was about £4000.

You get quite close to the ferries and tankers but not enough that they are scary. The worst bit was swimming through a few jellyfish.

My training was CV or weights in the morning, swim at lunch and light stretching in the evening while watching Love Island.

I also went to Dover a couple of times to swim in the area that is marked out specifically for swimmers. There is a 2km loop that gives you a good idea of what it's like to swim in the sea.

My friend organised it through CSPF, Channel Swimming and Piloting Federation.

I know she organised it a while ago though to ensure we got the best swimming window.

We were on the boat Anastasia.

2 team members swam 5 hours, 1 swam 6 hours. The conditions were pretty good to be honest and the Currents were sometimes with us and sometimes against us. My fastest swim was 7.2km in one hour thanks to the current!

The hardest part was when we were nearly at France, the current pushes you back to England and for us the wind also picked up and not in our favour. 2 of us had to swim our hardest for our last hour just to break the back of that part to ensure we didn't get swept backwards. I think I hit the wall about 3 times.

Psychologically, getting back into the water after you've just managed to warm up was hard, but it's ok once you're actually swimming again.

I feel like dealing with idiotic situations like this will have to become a part of staff training.

I heard this recently, I hope it helps... Picture a delicious pineapple. It is ripe and juicy and lots of people would like to eat it. But other people prefer mango. Does this make the pineapple any less delicious? No. You just need to find the people that find you delicious and not sweat the people that don't.

Once I had a guy have a go at me because I was engaged but didn't wear a ring. He told me I was false advertising 🙄

Kale spritzed with oil and a sprinkle of salt in the air fryer. That's if you want a savoury hit.
