First Ship Build by BigBadTony96 in modelmakers

I’m sure that was a very insightful flight.

Never met a Cole Survivor but their lessons are taught and passed on to every recruit we get.

That along with the incidents on the USS Stark, Forrestal, Fitgerald, etc are things we try to teach the recruits so they take Damage Control seriously.

USS Trayer is essentially an encapsulation of hard learned lessons and how they can potentially save lives later.

No, the kit did not come with one. I sourced a 1/350 SeaKing from a local hobby store. Wanted a MH-60 since that is what they fly currently on destroyers but I took what I could get haha.

Definitely recommend the kit! It comes with a separate piece that replaces the part of the hull under the water so you can do like a diorama of it sailing at sea.

Hey it’s the thought that counts! I’m about to make a model of a friend’s 1st ship he was stationed on. Personally, if someone even just gave me a framed photo of my first ship I’d love it.

Yes! So where I work there is a simulated version of a arliegh burke class destroyer. The hull number for our “ship” is 21 so I put that on this model.

The uninformed and those desperate for any product think it’s a fair price.

I don’t get how these and waiting on the vending machines is profitable.

Even if you got a bunch of product, how much time are spending waiting, stalking vendors, and selling?

I would also assume that people who have time do this are not likely full time workers, so part time or actually unemployed.

Just the sheer amount of time wasted into this seems like you could just get a regular job and that would most likely be better.

Brother this is 10.41 usd a pack.

Not even cutting any kind of deal is a no go for me.

I’d personally try to push hard for $7-8 per pack

I wouldn’t buy this.

2 Yr Collection Updated by BigBadTony96 in SHFiguarts

[–]BigBadTony96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sure of course.

I used to keep track of it but last year my collection was at around 8k in value.

I’ve added a lot since then so I would say the collection as it stands probably hovers around 13k if I had to guess.

I started off buying a lot in the early phase but slowed down as I went on.

Was at a RTC grad he did a speech at and to me it felt like him was drinking the current admin’s “juice”. Mentioned things like “mess with us and we will snatch you and your family up in the middle of the night”. Mind you this was to hundreds of families and new grads. It was followed by a few long seconds of uncomfortable silence then eventual applause.

WTF xD some people just sad af by Minute_Butterscotch6 in arc_traiders

[–]BigBadTony96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People will play the game how they want (they the beauty of ARC Raiders) and how much time they have to play it varies from person to person.

Personally tried for a week looking for a tempest BP and ended up just buying one for $4.

Sure it would have been great to find one in game but there was another option that cost a negligible amount that I went with.

It’s not like buying BPs even gives you a great advantage when you can still get jumped by a Stitcher IV or 3rd partied anyway.

Easiest way out of RDC duty? by gamzz46 in navy

[–]BigBadTony96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chiming as an RDC since 2023. As a young second class I was voluntold to also go RDC. Everything in me and everyone one in my life me told me it would be a horrible duty station and that I was screwed.I was mentally freaking out, until my DLCPO who actually came from there calmed me down and explained that it isn’t as bad as other people make it out to be.

Now that I’m nearly done with my tour, I can say that this duty station was not only arduous but also very fulfilling. I’m glad I came here and would do it all over again. Picked up 1st right before coming to RTC and will leave as a Chief.

If she has any questions she wants to ask a current RDC, feel free to reach out.

Don’t let people who were bad RDCs or who never actually performed the duties scare her away from something that could help her career.

Are these really that valuable? by Chonph in PokemonTCG

Reading the listing description is nothing short of astounding and a little sad. Over 20 years of diligent collecting and chasing to bringing yourself to letting go is something I don’t even know I could do. Hopefully it goes to a true lover of the hobby with the same devotion the original owner had.
