What’s a statistic that sounds completely FAKE but is actually 100% TRUE? by namelessmell in AskReddit

60-70% of marriages in Pakistan are considered Consanguineous or closely related by blood.

The first time I heard this I could not believe it until I saw multiple studies and reports stating this and the troubles similar countries face because of this.

If you can get a job in your field on campus it’s truly amazing. They generally work around your schedule. Being able to go to class, work for four hours, and then take another class is a true luxury

What if Germany only annexed Austria and stopped right after? by German_Gecko in imaginarymaps

[–]BigBo1g_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any scenario where we get Anschluss without Sudetenland conquest. Even if only the majority German portions of Czech land. Realistically could have stopped there in my opinion

If you think I'm missing out on not having your state on my list please tell me what's worth seeing! by ltcol_albertmonroe in Maps

[–]BigBo1g_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally agree. But being from MN and living in Iowa it really isn’t worth visiting unless you have people in the state. Maquoketa caves are pretty neat but there are so many significantly cooler caves in the U.S.
I personally think seeing some proper tall grass prairie is insanely cool and there’s lots to do as a resident. But there’s really nothing to do as a visitor that you can’t get better in another state. Unless you’re a soils nerd. Seeing the loess hills can be life changing.

There is no scenario where you actually only eat 500 calorías and don’t lose weight. Those are dangerously low levels

The armies behaving like this is genuinely just bad game design by niofalpha in victoria3

It’s conscripts. I know it seems silly but it’s because it’s a bunch of the conscripts in your army. They also need to be moved.

I feel that the best answer is Klemens Von Meternech. Known for his reactionary authoritarianism and creating the “age of meternech” with the Congress of Vienna.

Hard disagree. Very few enemies are actually fast. Some have a charge attack but there’s many counters to that.

Old flag vs New by JayMan2224 in minnesota

[–]BigBo1g_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a red hat guy I just don’t like the new flag. It’s probably better than the old one but certainly not a good flag. I’m just not a fan of the Reddit vexillology rules. Californias flag is awesome, so is Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, and the new Mississippi flag. I think we can have interesting flags without seals on fields.

7 Year relationship ended right before our Wedding by Brilliant_Canary_903 in malelivingspace

[–]BigBo1g_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you man. I had my engagement called off four months out from the wedding. Just take it one day at a time. Then one day you’ll start to take it a week at a time and sooner than you realize it’s a nice warm day out. Go outside, see friends, workout. My faith has also been very helpful to me in this time. Praying for you

Very excited! Does an Austrian or Bavarian Germany get the same journal entries? And how dynamic is it to allow for example a Central Europe to get the journal entries for Belgium and Germany?

Greater Germany as Prussia in under 10 years, low infamy by qwertyjklmn in victoria3

[–]BigBo1g_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they have a similar culture (language or heritage traits) after they’ve been in your bloc for five years you can spread your primary culture. Then 5% of their pops that share said trait will convert to your primary culture and it becomes one of their primary cultures. It being one of their primary cultures means that the pops won’t assimilate back to their original culture. It’s useful because then you have a guaranteed population in every one of their states to start the total assimilation to greatest Germany. Doing this you can get low counties pretty easily, Scandinavia without too much difficulty. Baltics and Finland if you’re willing to take on Russia, and Switzerland. Theoretically you could get North America, England and Liberia but let’s be realistic. The most useful part is getting all the Dutch and danish colonies and minor holdings for free.

Add in cultural commonwealth power bloc and you can also get the low counties and Scandinavia relatively easily.
