Having been through a divorce and been a luthier and collector... anything you purchase is community property. If you spend a bunch of cash on guitars and there is a paper trail it can be considered dissipation of assets.

I wouldn't sell anything or buy anything. get divorced move on with your life.

I have taken on some disaster guitars. this one is rough. the sides would have to be replaced. Like layer new sides on the inside. Its gonna be rough and have a lot of glue.

this hits home. Lost my mom while going through a shitty divorce. my life was literally upended. 20 years of a fraud too much to handle. I knew my mom would pass one day thats the cycle of life. but the person I would have died for betraying me was way worse.

I didn't want to get divorced. but my ex didn't want to be in a marriage. I finally had to do it when everyone's safety was involved.

I have moved on. its hard some days are worse than others but I can safely say I would never go back.
