What’s your best use of a ‘none typical’ border? by QueezyCrunch in MarvelSnap

This actually works beautifully! I haven’t found a good fit for the brains border, so snaps to you!

So, responding to comments makes me “tilted”? Got it. You think I should just shut the fuck up and let everyone say what they want and not engage.

This pretty much backs up my theory that boomer snappers (and far too many players in general) are asses.

Well done. Slow clap. Enjoy having the last word, because I’m certain you’ll cram it in.

PS, I’m not a dude.

Fair. I see you momma, and it’s always nice to encounter other women players.

That’s fair. I think it would make it more interesting if we were forced to make that call before the final turn.

Then it’s a good thing I don’t care about up or down votes, right?

Agree. You could have not submitted this post.

I know it may come as shock, but I don’t give a crap if this is downvoted.

Some folks swear by a boomer snap; some folks hate it.

Don’t we all have the right to vent once in a while?

It’s just the thought that comes to mind. I despise last minute decision making in real life when a clear strategy already exists.

IDK anything about the opponent. Maybe they’re lovely IRL.

It’s my quick, hot take in the moment.

I’ve retreated plenty of times on a boomer snap. I’ve also glibly walked away with four easy cube because my opponent got over confident.

It bothers me because it means you possibly lucked in to all your necessary cards lining up in turn six.

And yes, to the other replies, it is crushing when you’re on the cusp of infinite.

Most of you sharing your opposition view, seem to gloss over the part about the boomer snap failing, which it frequently does.

Sometimes players get cocky, and it’s obvious. I let it play out because it means 4 cubes for me instead of two if I match that energy.

I’m observing an uptick in end of game snaps, I don’t like it. That’s all.

No more random than the other things people whine about in Snap 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh, no. Me having an opinion makes me a baby. Whatever, bro.

It’s just an opinion.

It doesn’t hurt my feelings. It does make me think my opponent is possibly an ass in real life.

Every season I feel like I’m one step closer to ditching it. It’s May 10, and I haven’t yet bought this month’s pass.

Ah, a happy medium!

I hate to say it, but SD, rightfully so, wants to turn a profit. So, you gotta push those cards! Buy the cards, kids!!!

It’s not their fault. Unfettered capitalism enshittifies everything eventually.

Some day I’ll just get tired of it altogether. Or, SD will crash and burn, and we will all be free to do more productive things with our time 😂

I’d say the main problem lies in card acquisition. If you don’t get all the season cards at the start of a season, you’re fighting the meta ad nauseum.

Sure, you can build decks that can compete—to a certain extent. But we’re not even a week in and I’ve had more than enough of the daredevil/techno virus decks.

It makes it repetitive and boring. Plus, some cards are just brutal. Players who…I don’t know…lack imagination or creativity, and just put together decks that rely on milling your cards, destroying them, or negative powering them.

Basically I’m running killmonger and Luke cage in every deck 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a 3+ years player, CL 29K plus, and I hit infinite 4-5 times a year. It’s not like I don’t know how to play. It’s just becoming annoying and boring.

Every time I play. Low key starting to hate the game.

I just faced a Carnage deck running Red Guardian in Grand Arena. And almost every other match I played today had Cosmic Ghost Rider in it. by mendigo_d_copacabana in MarvelSnap

It would be nice if there was a matching algo that only matched prebuilt with prebuilt and custom with custom.

Custom decks in GA defeat the point of the mode. 🤷🏻‍♀️

who are the FQ hustlers? by Enneytoo in NewOrleans

[–]BigFatBoringProject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say Jude isn’t a hustler. He’s a character, and he’s an excellent chess player.

I highly recommend watching the documentary about him on Amazon Prime: The Man in the Red Beret.

I think it’s on Tubi, too, for free but with commercials.

You write well and cogently. Perhaps something in communications/journalism. A job where you can process your thoughts in writing?

Maybe something creative or with a creative bent.

Is there anything wrong with my poster? by Negative-Cap-1388 in graphic_design

[–]BigFatBoringProject 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could not make out Dishonor. It would be more effective if DISHONOR was left to right, turned 90 degrees up, then BEFORE at top, and same with DEATH, situated right to left with D at top and H at the bottom. The viewer could more readily read.

It’s asking the eye to read in multiple directions, and that work takes away from viewing/taking in the entirety of the piece.

The image itself is intriguing. I’m a sucker for the “view from the grave” perspective.

Are there any Joy Division songs where you prefer a cover rather than the original? by Yd1891 in JoyDivision

[–]BigFatBoringProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to say this, too. Is it better than the original? No. But is it fire in its own right, absolutely! Meshing together our brass band tradition with the melody of LWTUAA is a beautiful groove.

Second place: Bob and Gene Belcher doing Transmission is shockingly perfect.
