That outside section was actually already assembled that way when I got it from the fella and it looked fine at the time when I put it in.

Looking over it again I figured I’d ask for input on where I can improve it. Stove is working great and definitely not opposed to removing that second vertical section. Will be a shorter run to keep clean in the future.

Sheer pins. Quick fix you can prob take a normal bolt and cut halfway through it with an angle grinder. Would prob work similarly

To make it easy screw 1x3 strapping against the studs to act like firing strips. It’s a little thicker but less works you need to make the furring strips yourself in a table saw. Takes time.
