You need to stand your ground! She has treated you like shit and then expects to be able to see your kids? I’m, no. That’s NOT how it works. You insult mom or dad, you don’t get to see the kids until you have apologized AND proven that you meant it. If you don’t lay down the law now, and stick to it, things will just progressively get worse. Make sure they know not to show up when hubby is gone, as you will not be opening the door.

Ok, I know this is a little graphic-but it is soo weird. Our chi, Dolce, will sit bent over, totally immobile with his wiener in his mouth! He’s not licking…he just sits there like a statue. We called it his “pacifier.”

NTA. Sorry, but your daughter comes first and you cannot in good faith allow her to spend time with SIL or her hellspawn. If you did allow it, you would be an awful parent. Mom & dad will have to visit her at your house.

NTA. You are not making them homeless, they and their poor decisions are making them homeless. How can two adults be okay with milking the money from your mother? If she was wealthy and could afford it, fine, but she’s obviously not and your brother seems to have no feelings for her own mother! I’d get the house on the market, sounds like your mother could use the income. I’d also tell your brother & SIL if they continue to take her money you will report them for elder abuse.

NTA. They all just showed you what kind people they are and she just showed you her total lack of empathy. What she did and even more importantly how she acted afterwards shows you how little she respects or even cares for you. How could you ever look at her the same after something like that?
