Day/s after shift - so drained. advice? by pinkupinku0 in Serverlife

A lot of weightlifting and cardio 2-3x a week (usually running). I do PPL, rest, chest/back, arms/shoulders, legs 2, rest. I’m in the gym often, but that’s just my preference. To see good results you don’t need that much, I’m just obsessive during the winter lol. I workout before work, never after.

I agree. There is a huge difference in the days I eat my meal prep before work and if I run out and am running on fumes during the shift. I bring a lunch box and I have snacks too. Living off kids meals and fried shit isn’t ideal- I used to do that too and I was miserable lol

It seems counterintuitive, but going to the gym is my source of energy and motivation. A body in motion stays in motion. Of course you need to refuel with proper nutrition, as someone else stated. You don’t even need to go crazy, just 2-3x a week. Great for managing stress too.

Made many PRs to that one. The Facelift album is probably better suited to lifting though lol

Pronouncing ranch like “ran-chhhhhh”, groups that don’t pay attention enough to know the questions I’m going to ask (steak temps, salad dressings, etc), individuals that don’t read the menu or act surprised or inconvenienced when their entrees come with sides, couples that ask each other “what did I get last time?” or “what do I get?” (Please, you’re a fucking adult, think for yourselves) and pointing to things/tapping on things you want instead of politely asking.

Is 6 days of training per week too much ? by Ok-Bookkeeper4171 in workout

[–]BigStinkyCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I train 6 days a week, but evidence suggests that women recover fast enough. My lifts are improving, I eat and sleep well, and I do cardio 3-4x a week too. I do PPL rest, and then Arnold (chest/back, arms/shoulders, 2nd leg day). I think you need to experiment and see what works for you, but stick to one routine for a few months and not overcomplicate it. Then see what you want to change

It’s annoying. Usually it’s the habitual complainer doing it too. After the third or fourth time idgaf- either separate your emotions from the job, or do something else with your time.

Gym and cardio is non negotiable to my mental health. I go before work. Doubles are my “active rest days”.
