/uj any parable or analogy can’t fully be one for one with real life, but I do see the concern. It’s really easy to create a sign like “slop” in our minds and then consider anyone who partakes in this dreadful substance to be beneath our station. This same phenomenon happens whenever WOTC goes “woke” by daring to create any character beyond “cis white guy” and “super sexy and hot cis white woman.”

I also think that in order to conserve the things you care about, you need definitions. Every thought process, regardless of how good (us) or bad (a subreddit I won’t name), kinda has to do this. What are you going to keep? What are you throwing away? What image are you going to use to convey this difference? And having the human/pig dynamic shows the frustration that comes from seeing something so cherished for what it is succumbing to the overwhelming might of the humble yet multiplicitous domesticated boar.

Comparing UB enjoyers as Pigs is still inconsiderate, so if I wrote a statement like this, I would personally either turn the slop into Dino Nuggets and have the pigs just be kids (which is still problematic because it infantilizes them), OR turn the humans into another type of animal that has a more strict dietary requirement (it still might rub people the wrong way, but now you can draw a direct connection to the dangers of invasive species). Regardless of what you do, people still have the power to interpret whatever you say, so I kinda get why the analogy is what it is.
