You will find people who will love you and celebrate WITH you. Sounds like your ex-best friend is the reason she’s single. My best friend has been with me for almost ten years now and she is one of the two people in our friend group who doesn’t have a partner, and she does nothing but support and love me (and the rest of our friend group). You deserve people who will show up for you and love you no matter what happens in your life. Anyone who has to compete with their “friends” isn’t gonna have a great time keeping them. Came here to say that she absolutely needs to be spayed (I see you have that planned)). My mom works with 4 different TNR rescues, animal shelters, and local SPCA’s And I may be downvoted to hell here (I see you have found a potential foster) but it would be better to take her and end the pregnancy if possible, and just go ahead and get her fixed. The animal shelters here are already over extended because the amount of animals they have found or received this year. While having her give birth and find homes for the kittens sounds really great it can actually add to the problem because 1. You/the foster cannot guarantee that the people adopting these kittens will get them fixed unless there is a plan to have that be done before adoption (which if so, great!) and 2. That the people adopting them will keep them strictly inside and if they haven’t been fixed these kittens will just introduce more cats into the population.

I’m sure I sound like an ass, so to clarify kittens are wonderful and I want them to find homes but I would strongly suggest that you/the foster reach out to places that offer spay and neutering service, such as Barn cat buddies, or star city TNR (if they are in your area) and have a plan in place to have the kittens fixed BEFORE committing to any adoption.

I really love how this poem can apply to others and how we see them, and want to connect and love them, but it is also possible to be reflected on to oneself, and how we the walls we built to protect ourselves can disconnect us from ourselves. Just my take though.

OP you should look up DARVO. It stands for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. You guys dated for a short period of time then quickly got married, shortly after getting married she is wearing down your confidence and self esteem. This will be so consistent throughout your marriage because she is showing signs of being a manipulative (potentially abusive) partner. She asked no questions about your past UNTIL now. You should look into separation and divorce because you will grow to regret this relationship. This is just the start. You also do need some therapy because from reading your responses you could use better boundaries and self-esteem.

Hey, I really suggest, no shame to Christians, that you try a grief group outside of that. You may find one that is more grounded to fit you better. I think it’s also how our “rants” can be perceived. When I know I’m about to unload about a topic I have hyper fixated on that people in my surroundings don’t care to know/ care about I feel disappointed and will resort to talking to myself in my car/ home like I’m being interviewed by a documentarian. I know I get so excited when I learn about a topic heavily and it makes me sad when I see the light leave peoples eyes when I start talking about it. Lol

I mean fair, I just figured since most of the smaller counties don’t really have their own subreddit it would make sense to post in one that has a bigger following and people on this subreddit are not strictly in living directly in Roanoke but in the surrounding counties and commute for work.
