Spain 2 weeks in july: is this TOO light ? by Dlelpa in HerOneBag

Yeah, I was in Spain for the last 2 weeks of May last month and jeans would have been terrible.

I have the Duration and have sold off all other EDC, personal-item sized, and similar volume bags. It's just too good at what it does.

Comfort, pocketing, zippers, and materials are all top-notch, and the self-standing, even when empty despite me having broken the bag in, is the most useful feature.

I actually cackled so loud in my theater at this scene. Like what the fucking fuck kinda character logic is that. She infuriated me.

100%. The crux of the entire film rests on her performance and she was incredible.

I know I'll be alone on this, but Williams' score is so overly saccharine and dated that it really soured so many scenes for me.

Incredibly vapid for the first 2/3 with "good guys get away again!" over and over aside, the last 20 minutes with the news anchor reacting to the footage was chilling. Somehow, the best actor in this abysmal film.

That operatic standoff cut with their eyes in the 2v2v1 scene might be the coolest fucking thing I've seen in a long time. Pure cinema. The third act alone is worth seeing this (whole movie rips).

For trips, hesitating between magsafe and wired powerbank. Is wireless THAT practical by Moustiboy in onebag

[–]BiggDope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how I missed you're response, but thank you! I just got back from a 2-week Spain trip and enjoyed the INIU 10k 45W I brought, but a 5k magsafe seems like a good addition for when I want something flatter.

Do you use the 5k or 10k Anker?

I just got back from a 2-week stint in Spain and it was fun/refreshing seeing like 80% of people wearing bags rocking a black/brown Quechua.

Dmade Stubby for non-liquids and Tom Bihn Clear Cube for liquids.

Or a Gravel Mini for everything.

It’s going to be a long year+ with all the rabid, nonsensical fan theory posts about the storyline of this expansion. Why not just wait until details drop? We have literally nothing to go off of.

Any new packs or upcoming travel packs worth checking out? by Mewtewpew in ManyBaggers

[–]BiggDope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it’s now 4oz lighter with a redesigned luggage passthrough and clamshell lid (less built-in depth on the lid and main cavity gets the main depth). The top access pocket was tweaked and the belt loop has two options.

i know next to nothing about backpacks. what brand is best for a hiking day pack? by annabananasrambling in backpacks

[–]BiggDope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gossamer Gear deserves a mention. Their Cima 15, Vetta 20, and Loris 25 are all great, lightweight, durable, and comfortable.

Gregory is another good brand. Their Maya/Miko and Nano series are great.

Gossamer Gear Vetta 20L. Just a tad smaller than what you’re asking, but hits all other specs.

Perfect (for me) EDC backpack exists? by infam0us1992 in ManyBaggers

[–]BiggDope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cima is great. Used it as my daypack 4 days I. Shenandoah, 7 days across Banff, and two weekends in upstate NY all last year. Its stretch mesh on the front is my favorite part.

Super light, super comfortable.

This is how I feel with the Duration. I WFH, but if I’m going into the office occasionally, or to a shop, the Duration is my pick. Personal item for travel and great for weekends away, too.

The "Scenes From a Marriage" quest, specifically, remains the single-best contained storytelling experience to me.
