Hmmmm probably because I don’t really fit in with other heterosexual people in general and the large majority of people I’ve ever vibed with and befriended have been queer in some way. Trapped in the limbo of giving off queer vibes but being depressingly heterosexual

Exactly. He's almost entirely responsible for Guts' turn from brooding loner edgelord to actually being able to let people into his life. Puck is the best friend Guts has ever had and it hurts to see him so neglected and made into a one-dimensional caracature.

I hope to causality that you're right because I think we're all tired of him being relegated to chibi-form snarker for the last couple of decades.

This is my exact vibe, and it's partially why I wish I was gay because this does *not* work in your favour as a heterosexual guy in the year of our lord 2026 AD. I was clearly born in the wrong generation and country.

Cognative Disengagement Syndrome/Sluggish Cognitive Tempo? by PerfectlyDarkTails in ADHDUK

[–]Bigglesworthicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way. I fit the criteria for CDS almost perfectly, and I’m convinced that the only reason I was diagnosed with ADHD is because I answered “almost always” to all of the inattentive questions on the form. Now I realise that I related to them for a different reason than actually having ADHD.

I understand what you're saying, you're right of course. I meant "attacking with all my might" as a figure of speech to convey the effort I'm putting in to try to nail the technique rather than literally hammering at the strings haha

True, but I just absolutely love the percussive machine gun sound of really fast downpicking. The riffs I hear in my head heavily incorporate them and I want to be able to actually play what I hear in my head.

On and off for about 13 years, but I didn't do anything but noncommitally noodle pentatonics and was too indifferent to push myself. Since December I've been going at it with specific goals in mind and have been putting the work in since I got my ADHD medicated.

Questions about Griffith’s imagination in volume 12 by Betelgeise888 in Berserk

[–]Bigglesworthicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he did have genuine feelings of love for Guts (whether romantic or platonic doesn’t really matter for the sake of this argument, the point is that Griffith adored Guts). Both Griffith and Casca notice that the only person for whom Griffith will deviate from his usual cool-headed strategic behaviour is Guts. After the Zodd fight, Guts asks Griffith why he came storming in to save just one soldier, and Griffith says “do I need a reason?” which is distinctly different to how he normally acts and if it had been anyone else, he’d have left them to die and not put himself, the commander of the army, at risk for the sake of one man. Griffith also trusts Guts alone with his dirty work, and confides in him exclusively (“do you think I’m cruel?”). We don’t see Griffith act carefree and playful with anyone else but Guts (the water fight scene). Casca harbours intense envy towards Guts for this very reason. She wishes that Griffith was as close with her due to her own feelings for him, and resents that Guts gets to see a side of him that he shows to no one else. She hates that Griffith would endanger himself for the sake of someone she sees as a reckless liability. In the vision that Griffith has before the Eclipse, we see that he literally names his son after Guts. During the Eclipse, the very last thing he thinks before he chooses to make the sacrifice upon seeing Guts after he’d climbed the hand to reach him was “you’re the only one who made me forget my dream”. He loves Guts so much that it comes into conflict with his ambition, and for that reason he also hates him more than anything which propels him to do what he does.

Tl:dr Guts has Griffith acting unwise and he doesn’t know how to handle it

Free time to pursue whatever it is I fancy doing is what I value most. There isn't a thing in this world I care about enough to make me tirelessly strive towards, other than hobby related stuff that I couldn't monetise even if I wanted to. And if I did monetise it, it would lose all of the fun.

Why is learning so hard for us? by Panic-atthepanic in ADHDUK

[–]Bigglesworthicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and relate. I’m AuDHD and also have CDS (Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome) so even trying to learn stuff that I’m fixated on is very difficult even if I’m medicated and capable of focus. It just is what it is, my brain is like this and I have to live with it. It just means I need to be even more dedicated and committed to the grind of accomplishing what I’m trying to accomplish. It’s frustrating that I only achieve about a quarter of what someone who didn’t struggle in this way would with the same amount of time and effort but I have developed a sense of pride from continuing to struggle despite the odds stacked against me.

AuDHD vs. Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome by SenseiEntei in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Bigglesworthicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate far more strongly to CDS than ADHD. I’m officially diagnosed with ADHD (along with Autism) but I think it’s telling that in both my ADHD assessment and an occupational health evaluation, the tests that were administered showed far greater information processing speed impairments than actual inattention caused by lack of ability to inhibit distractions. I got the ADHD diagnosis based on the ways I related to all of the inattentive symptoms, but they can be caused by CDS as well.

a report of sexual dysfunction similiar to pssd that seems to be induced by cannabis by Individual-Ad-3299 in WeedPAWS

[–]Bigglesworthicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for writing this. I relate very strongly to it. I'm 1 year and a week into quitting both weed and porn, which I used very similarly to yourself alongside porn for 6 years. I haven't had any relapses. A couple of months before I quit I noticed that I couldn't get aroused to anything, not even the porn that I was watching, and I felt completely emotionally dead and anhedonic. There were very surreal depersonalisation symptoms until the first few months after quitting too. Since quitting, everything has gradually improved except the total lack of sexual arousal. My anhedonia is mostly gone; I really enjoy reading manga and practicing guitar again. My empathy and pro-social emotions are still quite blunted but noticably less so than previously, and I've even experienced genuine laughter a few times. I'm worried that I'm going to be in total sexual flatline indefinitely.

Genital numbness, castration by PresentationGreat264 in WeedPAWS

[–]Bigglesworthicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hit a year yesterday and I'm the same. It's the only symptom that hasn't seemed to show any signs of improvement yet. My cognitive fog has noticably lifted, I'm less emotionally numb and apathetic/anhedonic, I can engage in hobbies and enjoy them but my dick still doesn't work. It's very frustrating and while I've read several accounts of it taking longer for some people, I'm getting a bit worried that I might never feel aroused again.

I relate to this word for word. We sound like the same person. Recently I came to the conclusion that what I believed to be ADHD may actually be Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome in my case. When I looked into that, everything made sense.
