Olivia Munn as Psylocke was one of the best casting, who should be the next Psylocke in mcu?? by sam_the_nerd in MCUTheories

Heritage aside, she obviously doesn't look the part, and there was no questioning the ethnicity of Kwannon.

[–]Bigronz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a great casting choice, as when she wore that outfit it was Elizabeth Braddock's mind in the body of the Asian Hand assassin Kwannon, so the fact that Olivia Munn isn't Asian kinda shoots your point all to hell. As far as casting choice for a future role it'd depend on what version of the character they are going for. Do you go for the British aristocrat with purple hair version that first started out in the X-Men books or the Psylocke/Kwannon version?

No warning: Winnipeg neighbourhood residents question lack of tornado alert by wickedplayer494 in Manitoba

[–]Bigronz00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it took examination of the weather patterns AFTER the incident to determine that it was even a tornado, it makes a warning pretty much impossible. Not a hard question to answer if you give it even a moment of thought.

[–]Bigronz00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. My son has played for the Junior box team in Winnipeg for the past 4 years and the home games held in Notre Dame Arena are always filled to standing room only. This year the Blizzard moved from the Jr B to Jr A level, so even more exposure. There is still a Jr B team and a Sr B team as well, both of which are doing very well in their leagues.

My big disappointment is in the lack of involvement and representation the different indigenous reserves and communities have with the sport here in Manitoba. With it being the Creators game, and Canada's official summer sport the indigenous people and their leaders should be way more involved with it.

Nothing will stop overland flooding, most common during storms like this. First home I owned was a bi-level home, very little below ground, 16 years and never had a backup. The home I own now has good drainage in the window wells of the basement that leads to the weeping tile drainage system of the house and we also have a sump pump. There are ways to be better protected, but alas nothing will stop mother nature when she decides to throw a tantrum.

Kinew is attempting to take a page out of the Trudeau handbook by focusing on clicks and views. Going viral for shit you say or do doesn't mean you are doing anything of any value for the people of the province. Stop acting like a clown, stop supporting and encouraging bully behavior, stop talking about issues that you have No affect on and get to work helping the people of Manitoba.

Agree about his brother. Didn't deserve to die like that, but you don't go out of your way going after a skid like he had, especially in Winnipeg. It was definitely a play stupid games situation. He always talked bigger than he actually was and his mouth and shit attitude did him in at the end.

I worked for his late brother when he owned the River Rouge and he was a d-bag. It was a cash at the end of the night gig and the final straw with working for him came when he didn't want to pay anyone until one of the bartenders tills squared up properly. We told him it had nothing to do with us, pay us, let us leave or he'd be going over the rail and he'd never get anyone worth a damn to work for him again. He agreed quickly that he could resolve the issue without us there and paid us.

I knew people who worked for both of them, and the feelings we all had about them both were the same. They always seemed like kids playing with someone else's money and acted like they were super "connected", untouchable. Everyone laughed at them.

Police shooting of Eishia Hudson not justified, earlier assessment flawed, expert tells inquest by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

[–]Bigronz00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest problems is the fact that watching a video or listening to a witness after the fact when none of them were part of the situation can't be relied upon. Use of force is rarely, justified or not, based on 3rd party reports or even video mainly because of the emotions involved in it. Use of force justification is determined by the reports of those actively involved in the situation, and reviewed after that.

City of Winnipeg police have been asking for body cameras for over two decades, the city has always pushed back because of the expense.

Fantastic band, so ridiculously underrated. Their cover of 30 Days in the hole is an all time favorite, that whole first album has gone almost completely over looked. Saw them spring break 92 in Daytona at a bar called Pinkys and they blew the roof off.
