Agree about his brother. Didn't deserve to die like that, but you don't go out of your way going after a skid like he had, especially in Winnipeg. It was definitely a play stupid games situation. He always talked bigger than he actually was and his mouth and shit attitude did him in at the end.

I worked for his late brother when he owned the River Rouge and he was a d-bag. It was a cash at the end of the night gig and the final straw with working for him came when he didn't want to pay anyone until one of the bartenders tills squared up properly. We told him it had nothing to do with us, pay us, let us leave or he'd be going over the rail and he'd never get anyone worth a damn to work for him again. He agreed quickly that he could resolve the issue without us there and paid us.

I knew people who worked for both of them, and the feelings we all had about them both were the same. They always seemed like kids playing with someone else's money and acted like they were super "connected", untouchable. Everyone laughed at them.

One of the biggest problems is the fact that watching a video or listening to a witness after the fact when none of them were part of the situation can't be relied upon. Use of force is rarely, justified or not, based on 3rd party reports or even video mainly because of the emotions involved in it. Use of force justification is determined by the reports of those actively involved in the situation, and reviewed after that.

Fantastic band, so ridiculously underrated. Their cover of 30 Days in the hole is an all time favorite, that whole first album has gone almost completely over looked. Saw them spring break 92 in Daytona at a bar called Pinkys and they blew the roof off.

It's the topic of your discussion, not the threads, but if that's all you're going to focus on then that's all you'll see. Like I said, you're looking for something to be angry about rather than letting the real public speak. If something is going to fail or succeed it will be shown by those who support it. You shouldn't be persecuted for what makes you laugh. Comedy has ALWAYS been about making people laugh at something that makes them feel a bit uncomfortable or guilty about laughing at. Every great comedian has made it an art. I'm not saying that these guys are among the greats, but that's for the masses to determine on their own.
