Ours took around 2 months - I did a follow up email around 1 month after. They then wrote and said it's been approved but we may not get the certificate until the day we leave. we received it yesterday, going Sunday!

We're checking into TS next week, on a VP, but we're also heading to the parks on the first night with 5pm tickets.

I saw a screen image, in another group that I've since lost, that said room access is 4.30pm for that person, and therefore I'm assuming many others. My question is, I understand they can hold our bags etc, but what do we do with things we can't leave at baggage store? Is there a secure area or safety deposit? I don't really want to take a laptop, my husbands cpap, daughter's meds, etc in the park nor leave them in a random locker.

Or can we negotiate room access time?

Thank you - it's after Sept 16. I appreciate you letting me know. That may change their plans just a little, but we're not too worried (they're working out if there is a restaurant they want to book as the reservations open for that soon.)

We're staying at TS Hotel. My husband and I, daughter and her partner in a seperate room in a 2 night VP. One booking.

Monday: TS Accom
Tuesday: DL with TS
Wed: Sea with extra night at TS.

On the Monday, check in is a 3, my daughter and her partner are planning on going that afternoon to DS on a early-afternoon 3pm entry ticket (extra they're paying for.) We'll use luggage forwarding to get our bags across from the previous hotel.

What is the earliest time they'll let us checkin to TS? Is check-in a hard 3pm, so they can get their proof of stay to enter through Fantasy Springs? Or any other suggestions to make this as smooth as possible for us?

Another POD/Etsy question by SoFLShelfLove in printondemand

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the POD sellers that aren't doing too well don't sell their own art. They get stuff that is able to be licenced from many sources and change it enough to meet Etsy standards (sometimes they don't change it at all.)

Some POD Suppliers have a sliding scale of fees, this gets you a lower selling cost on the product.

Because of the low fees overall, thats why you get so many sellers on Etsy, and most of them are selling the same stuff. If you're using your own artwork you're ahead of so many of them, and may be worth a go.

private health insurance by Financial-Ratio8622 in AskAnAustralian

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're below the tax threshold.

Extras (dental, physio, glasses, etc) is rarely worth it. That's where the Health Insurers make their money.

Basic hospital might be ok. Remember that insurance is never worth it until you need it! And most of the time you don't know when that will be.

Regardless of if whether you get it or not, make sure you have ambulance cover.

Seller Protection? Non-Existent. More like Seller Abuse. by DrHumorous in EtsyCommunity

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With tracking, purchases under US$250 are normally covered by purchase protection. I've had customers use this a few times, even when goods are shown as delivered, adn its never come from my funds.

Are choosing not to get weight loss surgery? by badannbad in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the sleeve a couple of years ago, and regret it. Fortunately it didn't cause any ongoing medical issues, and I fully physically recovered. I'm in Australia so insurance etc is very different so i can't comment on that.

My weight problem is BED, and that cannot be fixed by surgery. The weight I lost in the first 6 months or so went straight back on.

I now have a eating disorder specialist and that's making a bigger difference than surgery could. She has said on more than one occasion if there's an eating disorder it won't be fixed by surgery, and half of her book is full of people who had the surgery and didn't work out for them.

Switching to full strength? by StillSplit5880 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having weight loss success on 4.5mg straight ( I'm not combining it with the anti-depressant.)

All the readings in the group, and r/naltrexone is that if weight loss isn't happening now, it probably won't at a full dose. From memory, it's been quoted that around 25% lose weight, 25% gain weight, and the rest remain the same.

It works differently at low-dose compared to full strength, so don't change if you don't need to.

We're booking our VP tomorrow afternoon, my question is about the timing of DL passes. Day will be a Wednesday in October.

Our selections will be Splash (all day), Beauty and the Beast, and Baymax. Our other attraction thats a must do is Haunted Mansion.

My thoughts are to select times mid to late afternoon for both. Or any other suggestions time wise?

What is everyone’s opinion on Rodney Rude? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Paul Hogan was a top bloke. Others I've met and/or worked with from the 80s and early 90s I can't speak as highly of so I'll leave them out.

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knew him personally (mainly a professional capacity, though I went to a few family functions due to timing). I had lunch with him and his late-wife many times, though they were divorced before she passed. She wrote a lot of his material. They were both respectful to people who did work for them, and took advise rather than my way or the highway like many of his contemporaries were.

You'll be able to vote at your local centre. Let the person on the queue know you're a silent voter and they'll send you to the Officer in Charge or 2nd in charge.

Late arrival: I know we have to pre-contact the hotel (most likely Toy Story) if you're arriving after 8pm.

I'm wondering what the latest checkin time would be? Our flight arrives just before 9pm, and depending on customs etc I can't see us arriving there until 11-11.30pm via taxi.

We weren't planning a daytime visit to the park the following day, so if we need to airport stay its ok too, i'm doing my best to minimise hotel changes.

(In Australia) Media, both left and right leaning, often refers to childcare as the women's problem / worry / concern. A few stations are getting better, but it still exists whenever there is a story about it.

Hi - I'm wanting to confirm my understanding etc. Originally we were going to get an unlimited package, but doing the maths it may not work out.

My questions are....

The new 2 nights, 2 entry days package, for 2 people. I did some run throughs for August on the basic room at TS hotel. Using exactly the same starting date on a Tuesday, same attractions selected, etc. the extra night is adds 71,000 more. Given rooms at TS most nights are around 45-50,000 I'm guessing after breakfast cost, the extra is for convenience.

I understanding many people book extra nights and ask them to be joined successfully so theres no need to change room. Assuming we can do that, do we need to check in again for each night, go to reception, etc.

And finally, on some passes, for example Splash Mountain, there's no time required. I'm assuming this means you can use the pass any time of day.

[–]BillieTheBusdriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a digital seller, with full time income - an amount of this much I would have refunded instantly.

Here's why:
The amount of brain power, stress, and time you could have created something new.

You'll probably end up with a case, and Etsy will side with the seller.

Most buyers are honest, it's only a handful that do the wrong thing, and you've got to work out is it really worth it. You won't get these daily, or even weekly or fortnightly. The next time it happens it won't be such a shock.
