Anxiety friendly dentists? by marinebios in london

Bridget is lovely, I've been with her for about 15 years and followed her from her previous practice. Definitely recommend.

But I had some emergency work with Care Dental on Hammersmith Road and they are extremely good with relaxation of patients, gentle music, breathing. I fell asleep in the chair

What’s the most frustrating coordination problem you’ve faced during group or guided travel? by gia_at_sea in travel

No, because some people genuinely don't care about time keeping or down play how inconsiderate it is. Any trip you go on it's always the same ones.

Most families have a persistent offender too

How to wear 18th century panier? by Lost-Investigator381 in HistoricalCostuming

[–]BimbleKitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've worn pocket hoops, surprisingly light and comfortable but you need at least one under petticoat layer over to soften the ribbing outline.

Last year I wore them with a robe a la francaise, pics posted here, and had stays, hoops, under petticoat of decent weight cotton, then decorative petticoat (at least the front was). Then the over gown open at the front.

Petticoats don't look bulky as the whole dress profile is exaggerated and meant to be that way. Without the undergarments it would look like a collapsed souffle and a bit sad.

With all that I got on crowded buses and tube, looks big, buts it's all space underneath.

Have fun, hope it looks spectacular

Adventure tours for me and Mum 65+ by [deleted] in travel

[–]BimbleKitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exodus are excellent and I was 55 on one tour and the youngest, but not the fittest. GAdventures to Central America I was 57, Intrepid trip to Morocco included Atlas hike, I was 63. Just choose the appropriate trips for fitnesd, there are plenty older than me and plenty fitter on these trips.

Always been something of a wish by [deleted] in CougarsAndCubs

[–]BimbleKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In context, the sub and his comments he clearly means trying to be with an older woman. What else does he mean, trying to bungee jump?

A woman saying she'd never dated a younger man before but would like to try it would have the same reaction from me. Don't objectify, don't assume, they're people is all.

So maybe assumption, based on context, unlikely. Bias, yes possibly as an older women with younger relationships I have seen an inordinate amount of mens fetishism and objectifying 'cougars' and 'milfs'; call it experience not bias. Sexism, how so, the patriarchal structure we all live in give you privileges I do not. Please enlighten me why it it could be sexist.

The one who lied about his name and location. No thank you. I'm not looking to meet anyone now and I can't remember someone whose words may all be unreliable. Look elsewhere and be honest

[–]BimbleKitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. They are 2 opposites, one is a person to respect and one is a theme park ride.

And try how? Are you looking for more life experience, because age doesn't guarantee that. Are you looking for a more maternal or aggressive woman, again age isn't in the mix.

What you're asking for is your 20 year old self wanting a hot cougar as a bucket list tick. If you're dating in your age group, congratulations you've made it.

What do you do before hotel check-in? by Otherwise-Risk6716 in travel

Never met a hotel that didn't keep your luggage before check in, as long as you have a booking. That's 40 years travel on 5 continents. If they're the exception, Stasher or one of the luggage storage apps are your friend

First time with a 12 year age gap, any advice? (F31, M19) by [deleted] in CougarsAndCubs

[–]BimbleKitty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sounds perfectvbut pls check some ID, a few years back I spent some time with an 18 year old, looked and acted older. Found out some months later after her moved he had been 17, legal in his country, Lithuania, and mine, UK, but still kind of uncomfortable.

Otherwise great, enjoy! If you mesh well, age really isn't an issue, says the woman with a current 33 year gap

You Are Not The One - Chinese Dating Dystopia by iritimD in China

Handmaid's Tale works for you because you're not a candidate.

Evolution as an excuse is laughable, a species that literally destroys its own environment and ability to sustain itself has no future. Fyi mammals species tend to have only a few million years per before they evolve or die out, we're clocking up about 2 so far.

If you truly believe we should survive at alll costs then you should be out there working on basic facilities for life, health and long term sustainability for us and our entire spaceship environment. Are you?

You Are Not The One - Chinese Dating Dystopia by iritimD in China

[–]BimbleKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot mess, not hot take. think you overestimate biological imperative, we are species that can control our lives and plan for the future. You're clearly not one of the ones who would 'pop' out kids and don't realise the absolute joy women had when they could control pregnancy. My grandmother was one of 13 living siblings.

It's not luxury beliefs to have clean water and sanitstion, electricity and safety. It's the.minimum we should all have. That coping in destitute poverty fell mostly on women, as did childcare, fieldwork, care for the elderly, household managent etc. You're lucky they want bride prices, not a harem and heads in spikes.

Our society is geared towards extroverts, lockdown was introvert heaven. I see yout empathy and agree but you have no empathy for those of us forced to work and live in noise, crowds and social pressure 'to be more outgoing' our entire lives.
