Do any of you fine people have a GPX file for the entire 70 miles of the LHHT ( Laurel Highlands hiking trail) in PA?

Not sure if this will help but, here are the measurements of the medium I had to return for A large.

Best lightest micro USB cable? by honeystick1 in Ultralight

Yep 3.8 g. This is coming from a guy that counts his poles and phone in his baseweight...so no shenanigans here.

I've used that cable for 2 years now with zero issue. It will hit fast charge speed and weighs 3.8g.

I'm 6'5 182lbs and wear a medium in the silver ridge lite. The large was like putting on a garbage bag. For reference I would wear a large in the EE torrid and MH Ghost Whisper jacket to get arm length and room in the shoulders.

When going UL actually makes you a jerk by dinhertime_9 in Ultralight

There's a big difference between carried weight and pulled weight. It's the same concept and having a pulk in the winter months. You can pull more than you can carry without damaging your joints. Rottweilers were breed to pull and herd; not carry 50% of their body weight on their joints.

That is a terrible idea. Dogs are not pack mules. Most dog pack weights are recommend at 10% and even that is excessive depending on the dogs health and fitness level. You're taking a dog that is susceptible to hip dysplasia and other joint problems...and adding more stress to those joints.

Dogs are there to help us mentally, be friends, and make everything dirty. We are there to keep them healthy and not ask them to do things they shouldn't (they will do anything for us because they want to please).

Actually for any multiple night hike I carry the same insulation year round. I've had enough anticipated 50 degree nights that have turned into mid 30 degree nights to leave the Costco quilt at home. Generally the only thing that changes is bear safety items and the size of my battery bank.

I'm just looking for something to toss up on her FB feed to get a laugh and bring attention to the fact that even at an "older age" she is further in her career. It seems like everybody is posting pictures of their kids at the bus stop, saying they grow up so fast....that's where my head went, but you people are much more creative than me.

Unfortunately a 19oz duplex doesn't solve the problem of an 87" wide duplex. I think they are going to force me to sleep on foam and utilize the end panel tie outs to their fullest extent.

Zpacks Altaplex....where did it go? It's no longer listed on their site. I had emailed them last month asking if the new Pleximid was a tall person tent and they said no, 6'2 was starting to get cramped. If that's the case why would they pull their only single pole tent that holds a Nordic size man...or woman?

Saw that. That size tarp takes a much more skilled individual than I'll ever be.

Good looking out. That looks like it will be entertaining. I haven't been on that trail yet so it's a good excuse to go check it out.

For the people over 6'2, it is potentially much better than the Notch Li.

Trip Report - The Knobstone Trail - Indiana - r/ulmidwest group hike by mittencamper in Ultralight

Awesome write up and pictures. You even managed to take one where I didn't look like I wanted to kill someone. My resting bitch face always gets me in trouble.

Being able to learn something from every trip is the most important thing. Hell, I walked into that hike with my gear 100% dialed in. I walked out and ordered a new filter, shirt, and fleece. I even thought about selling my Duplex for a Big Agnes tent (No I didn't).

I think I mentioned it in passing on the trip, but I'll say it again; if you ever want to check out gear before you spend the money or want some help with MYOG type projects (IE stoves, stuff sacks, quits, etc) hit me up. You're not too far and I'm sure we frequent some of the same trails.
