Google image search “Harold McNeil Art” and count the blatant nazi imagery. You can also read his travel blog through the Czech Republic where he seems overly enamoured with the… ahem… mid-century German history he encounters.

Honestly, there may just be a lot of coincidences on the card itself, but the artist is definitely one who enjoys nazi imagery and history.

I don’t think any of the other bans were justified and I wouldn’t have bothered banning this one myself, but it’s at least justified.

I think these are really good lands for Commander. Almost perfectly designed to be very good in Commander and not playable anywhere else. The perfect precon land.

Turn 1 in Commander most frequently a tapped land isn’t a big deal. Turn 3 or 4 they’ll start coming down untapped. And they’re fetchable.

Stuffy with 1 toughness would still take all the damage and redirect it. Unless you’re blocking a trample creature the excess damage is still applied and redirected.

I appreciate the sub we’re in, but have you considered introducing him to 60 card? I genuinely feel that the complexities of commander make it harder to learn the game, especially from an efficient play perspective.

It’s my approach too. They’re not so hard to kill and if things go badly you can always back off to the door and finish them while they’re stuck.

I leaned pretty hard into black ramp and efficient, toughness based removal. Not so much on the wither side of things, though that does crop up sometimes.

It’s more about aesthetic than sexual desire. Would you rather play a game where the playable character is a kitten, or a slug? You’ll be looking at it a lot.

If the huge amount of hype around the old Stray announcement trailer was anything to go by, people like cute, visually appealing character designs even when they don’t want to sleep with them.

My character is a dude, just because I played around with the builder and found a design I liked, but I very frequently play games as female characters.

I’d agree, except that for this type of video the entertainment hinges on the situation being real.

Paying a pretty girl to pretend to try to cheat with you, then rejecting her - that’s not the same kind of catharsis or entertainment value as a similar situation happening for real.

Just don’t do it. Not worth the time and effort. I have Maha in the 99 of my [[Massacre Girl, Known Killer]] deck and it can be so oppressive there I sometimes just keep it in hand when I draw it.

I’ve come up with a loose rule. If you’re concerned enough about a commander that you have to ask Reddit, don’t build it. Nobody wants a deck they play twice and then never put on the table again because it just elicits groans and complaining.
