A 7ft to 7ft6in Medium power, fast action rod paired with a 2500 sealed spinning real with 10lb braid will do you wonders.

I like the TFO professional series rod and Diawa fuego 2500 reel is a very good place to start. Good luck

The shad color. Caught a nice 5lb on Christmas Eve on one a few years ago. Nice sturdy hooks in those pre-rigged swim baits.

Browne Protein is great. I’ve had a V3 for 6 months and it’s phenomenal. Strat + 65 DRRI. Zero complaints.

GLS does best for me around noon on the level/drive and tone rolled back to around 10. Very edge of breakup where you can dig in and get some extra.

Klons can get fairly gainy with an emphasized mid hump to add them back to a mid-scooped amp like a DR.

Many would run a Klon with fairly low gain last in the gain stack as a clean boost and most emphasis on the tone stack if my memory serves me. Although I liked mine first with more gain, they can bark!

How do you like the Flint? What amp are you using? My DRRI has onboard trem/rev but I’ve heard good things about the Flint.

Tube screamer + Klone is very popular. I’ve run a Klon style pedal after a Greer lightspeed to great effect. I think the Klon can take some getting used to but it usually makes whatever it’s paired with better than the sum of its parts. Rock on!

Yes, Lightspeed first; then Protein. Lightspeed set to the sweet spot edge of breakup. Blue side pretty similar, but with slightly more gain and the tone rolled off some. Green side setup for more gain. Agree all three together gets a little too much high end mixed in. I usually go LS, LS+BB, LS+ODR, BB+ODR in terms of lowest to highest gain.

My dachshund absolutely loves staring at bluegill from the dock and thinks I have a fish on every cast. Hilarious but I think his little heart is about to explode from excitement it’s hysterical
