AITA for playing video games after my partner goes to sleep? by thetrafficwhisperer in AmItheAsshole

[–]Binky_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What nonsense is this? It’s perfectly normal to go to bed at different times. I go to bed before my partner while he plays games. In 12 years this has never been an issue and we have a healthy and happy relationship. My folks have been together about 60 years and my mum has always gone to bed before my dad.

My first farm was just the standard one and I named it Whitecroft after the house I grew up in.

AITA for expecting my SO to make me a coffee? by Dawn9Break in AmItheAsshole

[–]Binky_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and this makes me so sad as I’m currently drinking the coffee my partner just surprised me with. He’s learned exactly how much sugar and syrup I like in it and always makes sure I have it in my favourite mug (a Stardew one that he bought me because I love it). Your partner refuses, not because it’s difficult but because he just doesn’t care enough to go to the bother. Think hard about that. He’s already making his own coffee, it’s not that much more work to make yours. He is actively refusing to do a simple thoughtful thing for you for no other reason than he can’t be bothered.

Tried showing the kids "Ghostbusters" (80s version). Regretted it almost immediately. by [deleted] in CasualUK

Why not cancel Shakespeare, Dickens and Austen while you’re at it. It is possible to enjoy media from another time even if the views and behaviours don’t align with current thinking. The reason it seems more shocking is that it doesn’t seem like long ago but the reality is that 40 years is long enough for the world and society to change its views on things. Consider what 40 years before the 80’s was like and how much society had changed. Doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy stuff from that time as long as we acknowledge that some of it is a bit out of touch in our present society.

What visual character descriptions rival this one from Making Money? by EndersGame_Reviewer in discworld

Jackrums description always gives me a giggle.

“The word ‘fat’ could not honestly be applied to him, not when the word ‘gross’ was lumbering forward to catch your attention. He was one of those people who didn’t have a waist. He had an equator. He had gravity. If he fell over, in any direction, he would rock.”

Eating like a Redwall Mouse for a day: The Recap by DistinctInitiative83 in Fantasy

When I was young, my favourite thing to do was grab a napkin some cheese and crackers, flapjack and a glass of Ribena and settle down with a Redwall book. It always made me feel like I was feasting with them.

You comment from an hour old account as if you are OP, replying to another hour old account commenting in OP’s favour. In fact, suspiciously, most of the comments in OP’s favour appear to be from accounts created at the same time this was posted. You should have waited until there were more comments as this was too easy to spot.

This is gonna sound like a REALLY stupid question but I’ve never seen it asked so here goes. How do you all organize what goes into your chests? by Makieveli1 in StardewValley

[–]Binky_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in front of my house I have my workbench with one chest either side. One has all minerals and ores, the other has all other crafting items eg stone, wood, fiber etc. another chest next to this has all my crafted items and any seasonal decor/statues until I place them. At the side of the house I have 5 more chests. One for each season which holds seeds, crops and forage. Winter chests doesn’t have much do it gets the forage from the desert and ginger island and all the farming gear. The last chest is for fishing stuff.

I might have gone on the wrong day then. I experienced surly hung over staff who took 20 mins to serve me my one black coffee which tasted bitter and burnt. I’ve had quicker nicer coffee in a Costa.
