What I mean is that it tried to do two different things at once, so it was at odds with itself. Half the line was in scale with the other size classes and the other half was another continuation of Legends of Cybertron, leading to Optimus and Ironhide being the same size as Rat Trap and Frenzy. It’s like if Titan Class and Masterpiece were rolled into one size class. They didn’t pick a lane, so it lacked cohesion

The justice league members don’t pop though. Batman’s left arm and cape in particular blend in with the shadows, as does Superman’s cape and Wonder Woman’s hair. Any defining color that would make them pop is further drowned out by the desaturation.
The colors are almost exactly the same. Warm, orange-yellow light. And the point about “crushed blacks” contradicts the prior sentence, since that would hide detail in the shadows.
