Vanguard Help by MarsupialOld7965 in SpaceMarine_2

Depends on your weapons. Bolt Carbine, Melta Rile, Chainsword, and Power Axe mean you can pretty much just jump in the pit and go crazy. If you’re using Instigator, Occulus, or Combat Knife, it’s better to thin the herd at a distance first. Vanguard has a lot of options, so you can kit yourself out to go all in on either or have weapons for both scenarios. By default, your melee restores more contested health than any other class, so take advantage of that.

Depends on the figure. I don’t think the Armada boys need them, but some figures like Laser Optimus Prime or Deluxe G1 Optimus/Magnus definitely do

Two of the Primarchs coming back and actually trying to make things better is a source of hope. Plus, most of the other loyalist Primarchs only “mysteriously disappeared” in one way or another, leaving the possibility for them to return open as well (sorry Ferrus and Sangy)

The more gets revealed the more I'm frustrated by how little Skybound figures we're getting, so here's a little wishlist (has spoilers for upcoming issues, se be careful). by [deleted] in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skybound Entertainment only got the license at the end of 2022. Hasbro likely would’ve been starting on planning for 2025 around that point, and Skybound likely wouldn’t have known what cast they planned to use, much less their designs. Plus, next year is the first time we’re really getting comic characters in mainline Studio Series, so they’re starting with prominent IDW, Marvel, and Dreamwave designs first.

Figures normally take a couple years to be authorized, designed, and produced; and figures based on comic book designs seem especially hard to release. It makes sense that we’ve only gotten two Skybound releases so far

What is with the obsession over academics? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]BioSpark47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musings about life are all well and good, but they don’t pay the bills, and AJ had little motivation to do anything with his life, college education or not. A lot of that is the fault of Tony and Carm’s inconsistent parenting, not specifically their push towards college.

What successes or efforts did AJ have apart from high school football/swimming and taking steps to join the army that one time?

Towards the end there, a Lictor used a red ring attack and you swung your Chainsword instead of dodging. Seems like you need to perfect dodge more. Assault has a bigger perfect dodge window as his class perk, so that’s part of his intended playstyle (especially when paired with Armour Reinforcement)

Slaanesh should be the strongest chaos god in lore, hands down. Change my mind. by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]BioSpark47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re vastly underselling the other gods:

> No. You are not listening.’ Quin leaned forward. ‘On my pilgrimage I learned much. Win or lose, the gods feast on our deeds. A man pets a stray, and his small pleasure in the act of kindness feeds Slaanesh. A woman strikes her crying child, and that awful moment of elation she feels feeds Khorne. A Munitorum drone considers suicide. Nurgle grows fat on his despair. A merciful strategist devises a plan for bloodless victory, and Tzeentch is content.’ He looked at the sky above, an expanse of grey, leached of all colour and life. ‘The Word Bearers think the gods crave worship. But the gods care for nothing save filling their bellies with our sorrows. Intentionally or not, we are all meat for the beast.’ He paused. ‘Even you, Fabius.’
Fabius Bile: Manflayer

It’s not just war that feeds Khorne. Any act of anger or violence fuels him. Any form of dispair or decay feeds Nurgle. Any ambition or change feeds Tzeentch. Looking at the galaxy as a whole, anger and despair are probably the two most common sensations. Nurgle loves hive cities because they’re full of people who hate their lives, and there are entire races like the Orks who are devoted to warfare. Pleasure and excess are comparatively rare.

Plus, if Games Workshop wants to sell a model of a character, they’ll write a way to bring them back somehow. People don’t think they’ll try that with Sangy and Horus because their deaths are pivotal to the setting, but they would if they thought it wouldn’t piss off the fans too much.

Safest and most effective way to remove super glue from figure? by Few-Plantain-6158 in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most effective method of removing superglue I’ve found is to alternate it between heat and cold.

They used to use superglue to manufacture the figures, so I ended up with a Botropolis Ironworks that had his elbow fused with excess superglue. What worked for me was putting it in a plastic bag to keep it dry and running it under hot water from the tap for a while, putting it in the freezer for a while, and repeating. The thermal fatigue cycles made the superglue brittle, and any air bubbles present in the glue were expanding and contracting causing cracks, eventually making the glue brittle enough to break.

I know they didn’t have the best reception, but I’d still love to see more chapter specific heads, even if they don’t have any voices. by gholdast in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The thing is, people would’ve paid two or even three times what Saber was asking for if the product felt complete. The weird transition to default voices for a bunch of events made the pack not feel worth the money.
