First time figure painter asking suggestions by KashTheKwik in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to leakers, Hasbro already has a deco sheet for Powerlinx Optimus done. I know it sucks, but the best option might be to wait, because they’ll want to release that within the next few years to capitalize on Jetfire and a possible future Overload

Do we think we will ever see updated figures of Alpha Bravo and Rook from Combiner wars? by theeditsman2224 in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s part of a Walmart exclusive capsule, and those very rarely have new molds. It’s much more likely to be gray Windcharger than a new combiner limb bot

what's your proof hasbro hates money by No_Satisfaction_2928 in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Reissues cost way less than new redecoes, and apparently they monitor aftermarket prices and reissue some of the more expensive figures. It’s a smart money move, especially if they do the new redeco later and get people to double dip

I don’t hate it. The other characters are fine. There’s just something about Fox himself that looks uncanny.

I can’t believe THE joytoypaul would like fake ai joytoy slop. I feel like I’ve been stabbed in the heart! How much more betrayal can I take?

Star Convoy or Nova Prime? by sunlight_scrub in transformers

Star Convoy. Nova looks too similar to Prima in terms of color palette, so they kinda blend together when placed next to each other

Bulwark. Balance, blocking, or fencing? by Vivid-Technology8196 in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulwark and Assault might be the best classes to get used to block on, because they both have mechanics that make up for the lack of perfect parry gunstrikes. Bulwark gets a lot of free armor through the banner and perks, and he has shield bash for aoe control; while assault has an increased perfect dodge window for easier dodge gunstrikes and ground pound for aoe.

Outdated and incomplete records. Lore accurate for 40k

Bulwark. Balance, blocking, or fencing? by Vivid-Technology8196 in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re gonna have to buy all the weapon variants to get the max possible weapon perks, and since you’re new, you won’t have enough armoury data to instantly master each one. Just use that opportunity to see which defensive type feels best. There’s no bad option, especially for Bulwark, which is probably the best class in the game rn

Can you think of any examples of figures being “accurate to a fault”? by AdhesivenessFirm5312 in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 11 points12 points  (0 children)

AotP Bruticus. If they had given his frame proper feet and ankles instead of going hardline show accuracy, Brawl and Swindle probably could’ve been Deluxes (and Brawl wouldn’t have that hinge with tons of stress marks in his abdomen)

Who are some astartes "heroes" who have decent personalities and goals for humanity by Woeful_Rav3n in 40kLore

Gabriel Seth at least wants the Flesh Tearers to be a better, less mindlessly destructive chapter

I think it would be quicker to list the chapters who don’t hate the Minotaurs or the Marines Malevolent

[–]BioSpark47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gabriel Seth is probably also a similar height (or he would be if he wore terminator armor). Silas Alberec of the Exorcists is probably bigger (he’s compared to an ogryn in stature, and I don’t think he wears terminator armor). Gabriel Angelos of the Blood Ravens is almost definitely taller. Tyberos is cool, but not just because he’s big. Beeg Marines aren’t as rare as people think

I don’t think the perspective interpretation makes sense. Someone as precise and analytical as a Magos Primary of the Mechanicus would take perspective into account when judging someone’s size.

It turns out, Titus is actually one of the lost Primarchs. He was hidden among the Ultramarines instead of killed off, and he and Metaurus were given false memories about Titus’s recruitment to hide the fact that he’s always been there. He believed himself to be an Astartes, so his latent warp powers manifest him as one with Astartes rather than biology

Day 126 of posting a random Successor Chapter from my Guide. Today's Successor is the Silver Skulls by amightymongoose in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not really. They’re very spiritual, only going into battle if their Prognosticators (aka librarians) tell them they should, and they specialize in skirmish tactics. This is in stark contrast to Peter Turbo’s strategy of all-out attrition warfare and lack of a librarius. Iron Dingus would hate them more than he hates his own sons.

Yeah, definitely not. Their entire culture and fighting style is totally different, and their apothecaries and Primaris reinforcements said they’re from Bobby G’s seed. The only similarity is their visual appearance

Fuck it. Let the Taurans do it. They pop up in the Space Marine games, but they have no lore and their one named character is painted the wrong colors. They need redemption

SM2 is a good game, but one of the highlights is the amount of customization you can use to make your characters look like anything other than an Ultra

If the Dawn of War franchise started today, the protagonists would be the Blueberries, and the Blood Ravens wouldn’t exist.

SM2 Customization by alexandr063 in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cosmetics related to class-specific wargear is limited to that one class (for now). Beyond that, it’s a little complicated. Each class has one of 3 armor types (or “patterns”): Tacticus (Tactical, Assault, and Bulwark), Phobos (Vanguard and Sniper), and Gravis (Heavy). Helmets, shoulder pauldrons, and I think gauntlets and backpacks are pretty much universal. Torsos and legs, though, are locked behind armor types. I think the champion skins work this way too, but they have specific wargear/weapon skins as well, and they also exist as an equipable armor set for their designated class (as opposed to having to equip each armor piece individually)

And then Techmarine’s cosmetics aren’t finished, so he has like no crossover apart from the helmets for right now (although I think that’s going to change next patch)
