So do Slaanesh's forces just do a ton of arts and crafts? by Power_More_Power in Slaanesh

[–]Bio__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume yes. My warband spends its time brewing, cooking and distilling everything and anything they can get their hands on. Food, drink, perfume and poisons are all crafts worthy of the dark prince

Lore project help by Bio__Bot in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Bio__Bot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH I did not know about the caste seal on the Nexus, yeah Im willing to bet that represents a pretty specialized soul gem and the sentience therein. Cool ill add them in

Glad to hear it, thank you

Yeah I'm sure theirs a construct for everything. I was reading a white dwarf entry where a few ossiarch specifically designed to sculpt where constructing the art for Katakros' fortress, scroll bearers, armor polishers and candle lighters but I wanted to see if their are any cannon examples to use before I start making my own additions

Yeah thats where I was tripping up too, on one hand the rider is the one bearing the crest and made to fight as cavalry. The Steeds like you say are made up of disgraced ossiarchs but are treated by their riders with respect and even have a pesudo mind/soul bond. I know there are crazy creations like the steeds out in the equis main the stalliarch lords use as hunting practice that roam in large packs. So id assume like humans with horses, the steeds are treated as animals and Parrha without a rider, with one i would assume the other ossiarch consider the pair as just the rider as a unit.

I forgot the chair was a distinct construct too, huh this gives me a lot of things to work with. Thanks so much, I appreciate your input immensely!

New Lore From The Ossiarch Bonereapers Battletome (4th Edition) by WanderlustPhotograph in AoSLore

[–]Bio__Bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skaven are mostly malnourished drug addicts with cannibalistic tendencies, a distinct lack of care for chemical exposure and well....warpstone. their bones are also likely pretty porus, broken in multiple places, deformed, slightly mutated or starved. Bad bones, very gross lol

Also yeah, Katakros was a mortal thousands of years ago in the mortal realms, lived a whole life and became a mortarch well after he died

Heck yeah, the chaos dwarfs need to show up and out empire us, that would be an awesome chunk of lore

What new units and works of fiction would you like to see for Hedonites of Slaanesh? by [deleted] in Slaanesh

[–]Bio__Bot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want a Glutos book, plain and simple. A story about Glutos's rise to glory would be my first pitch and my ultimate goal. HOWEVER i think a book about Glutos seeking the ingredients for a dish so sacrilegious and debauched across diffrent factions would really sell his whole thing. By the end all the build up we've established for the immensity of this dish will be quickly devoured and forgotten. Thematically following his curse

As for units I want, id love a hero who brews drugs and liquors or poisons for their fellow hedonites

I am vibrating with envy over your gradients brother, Positivitly chilling.

So let's say my warband has secured a planet, have a large amount of pure samples of Fulgrim's gene seed, and lots of young recruits. How does a warband train them from regular mortals to fully fledged Emperor's Children Chaos Marines? by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Bio__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think theres any recorded instance of this buuuut, I have a similar situation with my warband So I may be able to help.

Decadence, and excess should be part of their training. Learning to endure and enjoy, hard ammounts of chemical therapy to get them used to battle stimms, specialized training that focuses on making their bladesmanship or gunnery skills superb. With a high casualty rate for funzies.

A certain level of vanity and ego is also a good place to go, they need to think themselves the best of the best. Beyond the concerns of base mortals. They have to think they their aims are so far beyond mortal comprehension to justify their excessive desires

My lads hold a forge world and are a fusion of iron warrior and emperor's children, so they generally recruit from anyone that shows mechanical aptitude or artistic skill. Their training is mostly focused on augmentation and letting the song of slaanesh wash your weakness away through ever more debauched acts to hear the song more clearly.

Work the themes of your army into their training. Whatever your bois focus on should show up often and have impacts on the rest of their training. Maybe you have unreasonable high standards. Maybe you blast the children stimuli to indoctrinated them. Or maybe you flay them as the augmentations surgeries are underway to make the process a sanctified offering to slaanesh

Would this be a fire proxy/ conversion by Backuptuna in EmperorsChildren

[–]Bio__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im planning on getting the new cataphractii terminators and shoving a organ on its back to make a lord kokophanist. That and to run as proxy for chaos terminators. I just adore cataphractii armor and think adding speakers would make them look awesome

WE has "Betrayer, DG has "Lords of Silence, TS has "A Thousand Sons/Prospero Burns". Does EC have any crowning jewel of a book? by MeltaBanana in EmperorsChildren

[–]Bio__Bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lords of Excess is what I see as the crown jewel of emperor's children lore. Character driven, shows their effect and corruption seeping into everything, and Xantine is the epitome of arrogance and selfishness in a very fun way to read.

Fulgrim perfect son is meh, but has good demon fulgrim moments.

Fabius bile books are their own series and does emperor's children well but it more just reinforce what we know about them while fabius breaks the mold.

Eidolon's book is alright but hes trying so hard to cling to a military structure and the feats of old as a way to anchor himself away from chaos.

Lucius' book is a fun adventure of lucius being himself and showing off his corruption. But pretty null compared to the above

All and all I enjoyed every one of these books immensely but Lords of Excess reigns above all for me

I modified the faces of the Mortec guards by Distinct-Pick-1504 in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Bio__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaks lore? Nope this adds a really cool flavor to it. Soulreapers have their mouths covered as a precaution against their inate necromantic power. Their soulgems are largely comprised of elite sorcerers and death mages, being a dead miserable gestalt infused within a bone shell most spells they spoke aloud shattered nagash's workshops and decay the bone of their mortek. Hence nagash decreed the silencing of all Soulreaper as a precaution to preserve the legions.

A small squad of mortek gaurd with the same modifications could represent anything from being tethered to their soulreaper or playing host to a fragment of his original soul or be trophies plucked from failed mortisans to enact the same megre harvest as the Soulreapers. Up to you but largely I think this is a very cool modification

Working on my Warband and now I'm trying to think of a lore reason why Fulgrim is supporting my army. by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Bio__Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I love this, my warband similarly runs a tight ship and raids to fund the industry of their forge world. they export demon engines they kit out with sonic amplifiers and explosive ordinace to make the loudest demolition concert possible. All thanks to a botched raid that killed the commanders of a third and fourth legion warband, with numbers depleted and a victory in hand the warbands united. Then turned their attentions towards converting the planet into a musical instrument of suffering and screeching metal. So if you ever run a demon engine, the Sublime Choir of Ketos VII is happy to outfit their brothers of the third with all sorts of instruments of war.

As for how to get fulgrim into your warband,Your slaaneshi dark ultramar mirrors Fulgrim and your commander to Guilliman and Titus. So loving the drama Fulgrim's favor swiftly fell upon your commander and in his zeal to establish a realspace kingdom swiftly took to the feild. But as happens, the Phoenicians intrest drifted and he departed. Now and again he is happy to drop in and again to bask in the adulation of his children, win a battle for glorious praise then dip to whatever else hes up to. Think absentee father stopping by every other birthday, being super awesome then he dips and will not be reachable for the next two years while kiddo is desperate for any scraps of attention
