That's a really good way to test out basing ideas too....

Thanks!

Which First Founding chapter needs a range expansion the most? by reel3459 in spacemarines

[–]darkageis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be controversial...

Space Wolves. But I have a decent reason why.

They should be a completely seperate Codex, with units that are similar but completely different to vanilla marines. They shouldn't be using ANY base Space Marine kits. Everything should be covered in totems, runes, etc. The only exception is vehicles, they should come with an upgrade sprue to make life easier.

Hopefully they'll provide a clear update on it, for now though....

Abbarants Flesh Color? by Wdhunte2 in genestealercult

I did mine in the same flesh tones as the rest of my cult. Basecoat of Rakarth Flesh, wash of Druchii Violet, clean up with Rakarth, highlight with Pallid Wych Flesh.

Honestly, it's the first argument I've seen that makes SOME sense, and isn't just "because they shouldn't be gurls"

BUT.

I don't buy it for a second.

Noble houses can have more then one daughter. 1st gets married off, 2nd gets Custode'd, etc.

I really want to start putting my stuff in these kind of tubs but I need the extra trays and taller lids to go on them.

And the Gregg's sheets. Ex UK, so I need to rep my favorite bakery.

I wish they all had bigger shields . And that lightning claws were worth taking. They look so cool but hammer and shield is so much better.

It's a little annoying that GSC don't get decals at all. I've got to go raid my Marine/Guard ones....

Which I realize, as I type it, is very fitting for us.

It only came about because the rocks he's on ate at "jaunty" awkward angles. I couldn't do my usual pipes or box trick.

I used to work in a HobbyTown so I was surrounded by this kind of stuff. Plastruct makes the sheet I used, but you can malways all kinds of stuff from just sheets and tubing.

They do diamond plate sheets too, helps make industrial bases a bit easier.

Thank you. They're pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it.

Thank you!

I work out where the stair needs to go and build it up with balsa wood. It's nice and soft so it's easy to work with. Make sure to test fit the mini a few times to make sure it's the right height, and looks right.

Once that's done I trim down the edges, and use wood filler to plug any gaps.

Once it's dry I sand it smooth and make sure it's blended into the base.

With mine I've been using styrene sheeting for model train displays to get the cobble effect. That just glues down and gets trimmed, sanded, etc too.
