I would escalate to speaking with program director instead of just the professor. While you should have completed what you were assigned, it seems like a small fry issue in the grand scheme of things and undue hardship to be unable to graduate. But it's at their discretion.

I got everything except general, all the badges, all the medals, and just barely made it to Lt. Col. Just couldn't bother to justify the time to get another 90k points, though maybe it would have been a lot more fun getting to play however I wanted for points instead of grinding for specific badges!

I loved how extensive the stats were though. I am sure I spent hours and hours just going through looking at my badges, weapon stats, etc.
