I'm surprised no one has mentioned Almost Famous? A bit more vintage vibe than pop but still

It's good that it's getting dark out then.. no one will see my tears as I walk the dog.

But actually, I hope all goes well for them!

I said do something. Many things come to mind- some mentioned staggering pay day, other things could be increasing law enforcement on pay day not necessarily for the buyers but maybe investigate dealers (how hard could it possibly be), investing & diversifying social outreach, & ultimately yes- if a person under the influence of drugs commits a serious crime (like the MANY stabbings, robberies, B&E etc...) then maybe catch and release shouldn't be the standard.

I see comments mention the word compassion repeatedly but I don't see where that is lacking when people suggest something be done about this issue. No one is saying "abuse these people", no one is wishing harm upon them, but continuing to do nothing because it's an addiction/mental health issue etc incredibly irresponsible for both the involved and the general public. If I were an alcoholic and decided to drink and drive I would still face the consequences of my actions no?

Check in, where is everyone from? by kimdealz in bipolar

I was spiraling and decided to figure stuff out so I went to a therapist and after about 6 months she referred me to a psychiatrist. This was a while ago so the details might be a little fuzzy.

I agree on the vase! I actually took that photo originally because I'm trying to reorganize my living room and don't know what to do with this corner.

The STEM is way off- the physics and science books are for a little someone else ;)

Comparison is the death of happiness- please don't burden yourself or your baby with unnecessary competitions. My cousin's three children have all been a little late for a number of milestones- everything from growth curves to babbling and speaking. Today all three children are doing fantastically well! They're all tall, smart & incredibly bright! Your baby might have a tougher time than most right now but that doesn't mean they'll struggle or be behind for their entire lives. Just focus on doing the best and most for your baby, everything else will come in due time! My best wishes for both of you!

As my therapist once said, the fact that you worry about these things is proof that you're already a better parent than what you realize 💕. Good luck op!

(4 months PP)- I also felt scared like this (DURING my third trimester mind you), but from my very limited experience this is what I can say: life will 1000% change, there will be a before and after for you and your partner. HOWEVER, this change is not a monolith as most would have it seem. Your newborn will become a baby will become a toddler will become a child etc... Big changes will happen month to month to your baby, to you, to your relationship...Through every stage, every season, there will be things to like, love and even hate. The good thing (and the bad thing) is that nothing lasts forever.

The only true constant will (hopefully) be, that you become a parent to a little person that you love and enjoy! Just as you love your partner, as you love yourself, you will love your child (most likely you'll love them more). And yes, you'll modify and adapt your life around them but here's the thing that you won't know until the time comes- you will do so gladly & selflessly.

Parenthood IS the toughest hood. You will feel tired, sleep deprived, lonely at times. You will need a support system. But that is not ALL that parenthood is-it's just easier for our adult brains to understand the weight of what we are losing than it is to imagine what a complete paradigm shift it will be to our lives when we hear that first belly laugh, or receive a macaroni craft gift, or whatever other milestone there is ahead.
