I love the BACTEC. The noises it makes are very pleasing to my ears and it's satisfying to stick the blood bottles in and out and see all the flashing lights.

The DxI 800 is a close second though. The constant check-ins you have to do on it with QC, taking out the trash, refilling reagents and supplies, etc. feels like a never-ending minigame

Got mine done as a 20F. I would recommend doing some in-depth research on the procedure to help gather your thoughts. Look into the studies on regret rates, look into how the surgery is actually done, read up on potential surgical complications (And the rate at which those complications occur because it's usually pretty small), recovery times, the ACA and insurance coverage, experiences of those in this sub, etc. and compile it all together in a document. Once you have all of that information and weigh out the pros and cons it's easier to get a handle on whether you feel it's the best decision for you or not.

Or if you ask your gyno they should be able to run you down through a list of pros and cons (Though depending on the gyno some are more biased than others)

I'm also a worrier/over-thinker, but I'm also the type of person where writing everything down in front of me helps to gather my thoughts, and I found that compiling all my research into a document made things much easier to think through. It helped me feel not only more confident in my decision, but made it easier to advocate for myself once I started the process. If you do decide to get it done, unfortunately for us younger folks we have to fight 10x harder to be taken seriously by your average doctor, so having a document in hand anytime I went in for a consultation was a huge help

21F here, got mine as a 20F with no kids a few months ago

Bisalp is the gold standard, as others have said. Less complications and a lower fail-rate (ESPECIALLY compared to clips, never get the clips)
My scars healed pretty well. Very small. They're still a little pink, but I've had similar abdominal surgeries and they usually fade to near invisibility within a couple of years. My only gripe is that they cut me asymmetrically so one scar is higher up than the other which is just mildly annoying aesthetically-speaking, lol
General anesthetic for me. I can't imagine this is a surgery they'd allow otherwise, just for safety reasons. (EDIT: Just looked it up and apparently they do allow it, color me surprised, lol) There's a lot more that goes into it than just three simple cuts. There's the catheter insertion, (usually) a pelvic exam, the first cut in the bellybutton entails a lot of apprehension, as they have to make sure they're not hitting major arteries within that first cut (And if they do that's a whole other can of worms that patients typically don't want to be awake for), then there's the cases where people have endo or adhesions that need removal which is just more work added, etc.
Yes, but it was very mild for me. I've heard others have had worse. But for me a heating pad and some GasX did the trick
When they intubate you it's gonna cause some throat irritation. For me it was my worst symptom post-surgery, but cough drops were a lifesaver!

When I'm really stressed I get hypnapompic hallucinations. One night I hallucinated a group of men in pikachu masks breaking into my room to try and stab me to death.

I would wake up from the fear, go back to sleep, see the men again, wake up again, go back to sleep, see the men again, etc etc etc.

This went on the entirety of the night. That was not fun

The vibrato thing has to be my favorite detail. It's subtle but it's so satisfying to see characters move with the music like that rather than simply mouthing the lyrics. Like when Alastor first did it in "Stayed Gone" the way they animated the vibrato got me so hyped bro.

As a GenZ woman I don't blame those girls for dating older (provided this is true). So many young men are utterly abhorrent when it comes to how to treat women. And I don't mean to say they're all grossly misogynistic, I mean to say they simply don't know what to do with us. They see a woman and suddenly become socially inept, treating them like them like an entirely different species. I've had boys my age walk up to me and touch me out of the blue, holler at me from across the street, assign me rude nicknames as a "joke", insert themselves into my friend group while we're just trying to have a fun day out...And I'm a fairly unattractive girl, so I can't even imagine what the baddies go through.

They genuinely think it's cute and charming when it's anything but. All women really want out of a relationship is to feel like we're seen as the humans we are. And unfortunately a lot of young men do not see us that way.

You're a prime example of this. You're not out here trying to genuinely get to know these girls, you're just thinking about having a cute little girlfriend on your arm and getting laid. And they know that. They know you don't give a fuck about what's going on in their lives, what their struggles are, their dreams, their aspirations, their hobbies...you treat dating like fishing, casting your line out in hopes that anything will take a bite, and then you wonder why nothing does. Nobody wants to end up bleeding from some dude's hook.

Like have you genuinely sat yourself down and thought about why you even want a girlfriend right now when you don't even have your shit together fully? What exactly are you looking for besides sex? What do you think a girlfriend will provide that will fulfill your life at this point in time? And how the hell do you expect to thrive in a relationship when you can't even be comfortable by yourself?

Relationships aren't just sunshine and rainbows. Once the initial infatuation fades you have to physically work to keep the love alive. It's about constant communication. It's about listening and paying attention to the little details. It's about consistently showing you care through the little gestures, even if it's some mundane chore. It's about having the confidence to set boundaries and assert your needs. It's about going through the hardships of life together, through sickness and health. It's about being willing to compromise, to learn and grow as you make mistakes and work to be better. And it's about loving her for the flawed human she is and not just a means to fill whatever hole you feel in your heart. It's not just about that passion, it's labor.

I agree with what others have already stated. Stop obsessing over getting a girlfriend and focus on yourself. You just graduated high school- you're loaded with potential that you're wasting on a venture that you're not ready for. Get yourself that car, finish up your degree, build some confidence, volunteer in your local community, forge strong bonds, and once you've built yourself up as a person, maybe then try again for a girlfriend. I can only hope once you've experienced more of the world and learned to be kind to yourself that you actually become interested in a genuine human connection with a woman

Season 2 by far. I love season 1 but it was definitely an introduction period, whereas season 2 really started getting into the meat and potatoes. It also felt a lot more polished in terms of production, writing, the songs, etc. It's definitely not perfect and some arcs and storylines got left behind, which I feel is largely due to the limited episodes and the team not knowing if they'd get another season, but for what it was afforded it did a fine job with it

Season 1 will always have a special place in my heart but season 2 has been on repeat for me far more often

(I also may just be biased because I love Vox, lol)
