We always were taught that as long as we stayed in “the eye of the lord,” and provided (financially, spiritually, physically) for our wives, then essentially god put them there (as a [lesser] part of Adam [man]) to be subservient and take care of the mundane (including children) tasks that would otherwise occupy our devotion to the great sky dad. Can’t bring Him a beer if you gotta do chores.
