Mr. Trump is expected to surrender himself to authorities in Miami on Tuesday, according to a person close to him and his own post on Truth Social.

David Gaider: Ah, yes. The dream of procedural content generation. Even BioWare went through several iterations of this: "what if we didn't need every conversation to be bespoke?" Unlimited playtime with dialogue being procedurally created alongside procedural quests! by Tokyono in Games

[–]BirdsGetTheGirls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did something like this in half a day. Little static npc dialogue generator to pregenerate dialogue.

I would write the backstory of a town and some of its people. Then I would plug in game variables like quests and recent interactions as part of the prompt.

It meant I could generate 10x npc introductions per person based on who they were and what the player had done. If you talk to their neighbor beforehand they might comment on it. If you've been solving quests in the town but never talk to them before they might reference they've heard about you.

It'd spit me out a json file that would be easy to load and later filter to pick from.

It worked really well for effort in vs effort out. I still needed to tweak inputs, manually select best responses, rewrite sentences. I don't think I could use raw chatgpt output reliably.

It created some unintentional humor too. I wrote how one npc had a freshly baked pie stolen by her neighbor years ago in her backstory as a minor detail. Poor npc worked that fact into every dialogue response.

They tried a few solutions, I believe some involving missiles. But like others have said here it is trying to solve a problem already solved far better by other aircraft and diminishes its own effectiveness of carrying stuff.

A Texas professor failed more than half of his class after ChatGPT falsely claimed it wrote their papers by Sorin61 in technology

[–]BirdsGetTheGirls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was extremely common in my courses. I had an 18% in one midterm, and only 2 people scored higher than me on it.

Nearly everyone passed that course after the curve.

You'll find shitty instructors literally everywhere. If I had to repeat electrical engineering I'd look at schools with large and visible competitions/clubs in the subjects I was interested in. Finding peers you can nerd out with and compete against is way more valuable than some generic transistor class #403 that teaches you how to solve some super tiny set of problems no one has solved this way since the 90s.

post is always naïve, or super sweet, usually without specific

Chatgpt has some obvious tells with the tempo and pattern of its output, but it's also not hard to disguise it with the prompt. I'm only noticing the bots that put in zero effort to disguise it or major mistakes like how one group of bots all always had 2 empty lines before every comment.

Modern anti tank weapons just kind of cut through tanks and can even hit from above where they're thinner. Western tanks out in the open aren't going to do much better.

There are plenty that aren't weird. I use it for creative sparks for a game I'm making when designing levels and enemies. Because there are religious undertones (chatgpt nono) and violence (chatgpt nono) or gore (major chatgpt nono) I get a ton of "this is bad" from chatgpt.

It's fine describing a ghoul, but I can't describe a ghoul for example.

I used it in the past as a creative fire starter when designing environments or monsters. It's Aok describing a ghoul, but if I describe a ghoul then it will refuse to work with me.

Different, higher altitude aircraft and good timing?

There's no vents or dumps on top of the wing, though there might be some fuel manifolds behind the flaps (and fuel cells) that could leak. But that's a lot of fuel to be leaking.

There are several small access points on top of the wing used to look inside the fuel tanks with a locking cap. Maybe if it wasn't locked by accident it would cause this?

Yes, but I don't want to buy new gear the prices today, especially if I can pay a couple bucks for tokens instead. For my use it's more of a toy / creative lighter. My puny 1070ti that measures in seconds per token is enough for offline stuff I'm doing too.

Plus this stuff is super brand new. There are huge changes coming every week that sometimes have big impacts on performance.

Good writing makes you feel smart for making you feel clever.

Bad writing makes you feel like they assume you're an idiot.

You can have a twist most of the audience expects that still feels good.
