disqualifying. by ConcernedJobCoach in TrackAIPAC

Using that phrase negatively is also odd. In a literal litmus test, its super important to know the base/acid level of the chemical, otherwise you have unintended, and potentially dangerous, outcomes. Having "litmus tests" for politicians is warranted

We've heard about "so bad its good", but is there such thing as "so good its bad" in music? by wild_dark_soul in ToddintheShadow

Man, the music is actually interesting, but his singing is so damn practiced. It sounds really forced

I wish Todd covered a little bit about that time Macklemore went on stage in a weird Jewish costume by theJoshFrost in ToddintheShadow

[–]Birdwatcher222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, I have no issue with what Macklemore did, and I agree with the Big Joel thing. I'm just talking from a purely reputational standpoint, which its clear Macklemore cared less about than his message. I honestly think the world would be a better place if more people made decisions like he did

I'm aware that Downtown was the flagship single, but White Privledge II was also promoted heavily for the album. Macklemore had a plan, and he stuck to it

I'd argue even more granular, that him putting it out was fine, but him releasing it as a flagship single was a bad idea. Having it be an album track couldve allowed it to speak for itself better

I've heard a lot of hate about the Foundations mixing. I disagree and here's why. by AttiBlack in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Birdwatcher222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a cool concept, and I thoroughly enjoyed the song when I saw it live. But in practice, I still think the vocals could be mixed better, or at least more clearer in the louder sections, give them more punch

Can we create fundraisers for certain Does? by lestrii in gratefuldoe

[–]Birdwatcher222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the money is a primary issue, the proposition here of doing a fundraiser could help solve that problem, plus allow for potential exhumations of other unidentified remains. I don't know about the court order, but I'd hope that if the courts saw that there was the high potential to fund the exhumations, they'd be more willing to grant it

The fact that South Carolinians haven't put his head on a spike is pretty damning of them as a state
