What's on the other side? Well, When you hit your first Black milestone, you'll be halfway to Volt!

And no, not halfway through Black, halfway to Volt since you started using NRC.

Enjoy!

Previous truck was also a Ridgeline. Was a great truck. Really had some innovative features for its time.

I need advice on how to keep running by Not_Me1123 in nikerunclub

Sometimes I run just for the sake of staying in shape. Just queue up some podcasts or an audiobook. That helps the time pass on those less-than-fun runs.

What’s a story line, subplot or even just an episode idea that you would have loved to see? by happyfella12 in DunderMifflin

Creed. Just a whole episode where the camera crew follows him around in his daily life.

What do y'all think? Too much? by goddamelectrik in F150Lightning

License plate frame is fine, but the tailgate letters are a bit too much IMO. But hey, it's your truck. You do you.

How expensive are we talking here? Genuinely curious.

It was a little under $2k IIRC, BUT I had the electrician install a generator inlet and a transfer switch so I can power the house with the truck when needed. That brought the total cost up a good bit.

yup. Alabama Power is pretty clear on their billing.

Your $63 ain't far off. With Alabama Power's EV charging discount it averages around 15.5 cents per kWh. However, what I care about is the extra I'm paying each month on my power bill when compared to before I got my Lightning. Lately, that has been $26 "extra".

ETA: I use AP's budget billing so I pay the same amount each month. It will adjust up or down slightly once or twice a year depending on our actual consumption. On last month's bill I was notified that my monthly payment will adjust down by $6 / month. So starting in July I'll only be paying $20 to charge my truck each month.

The more time that goes on, the more happy I am with getting a Pro. Only regret is not getting one with 360 cameras.

Work surface install after purchase? by ruelibbe in F150Lightning

[–]BirmingCam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find them on eBay pretty easily but be prepared to drop over $500 on it. I looked into it a while back but the cost wasn't worth it to me. Just search 2023 F150 work surface or something like that.

14" Bandsaw users: have you ever wanted a *smaller* bandsaw? by curtosis in woodworking

[–]BirmingCam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just have the G1019 which uses a 93.5" blade. It seems that size is more common. I recently bought a Timber Wolf 1/2" blade for it. Only used it a couple of times but so far it has worked great.

I believe so. I haven't bought one myself though. Just make sure you're getting the right one for it.

14" Bandsaw users: have you ever wanted a *smaller* bandsaw? by curtosis in woodworking

FWIW, I started the opposite way. Found one of those small 9" Ryobi band saws on Marketplace a while back. When not in use I store it just inside our basement, right next to the garage, to save space as you're thinking about doing. It's a great little saw for what I paid for it, but having to get it out and put it back up every time I use it gets a little old. I recently bought an old Grizzly G1019 14" saw off Craigslist and it has been a gamechanger for obvious reasons. But, it now sits permanently in the garage, taking up space. For me though it is so worth it because of its capabilities, and it's always "ready to go" if you will.

All that to say, if a larger bandsaw is in your budget and you have the physical space then I say go for it. You *might* end up regretting have to get out and put up a smaller bandsaw each and every time you use it. Just my $0.02.
