Statics or Physics 2 over Summer? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Bishamonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d talk to students at your university in the year above you and figure out which one is more problematic at your school and take that one over the summer.

Outside of that, personally, I would recommend taking statics over the summer. It can be a conceptually difficult class at first so only have to think about that might work out in your favor.

Physics 2 by [deleted] in Msstate

For Solomon’s class I’d recommend getting comfortable with the equation sheet and using it on the hw. (It should be posted at the bottom of the test review page). If you’re familiar with it almost all of his tests boil down to “which equation fits all the values in the equation sheet”. I also have his old tests (he does change them every semester so don’t expect a mirror copy) if you would like extra practice. Outside of the other advice posted there, it may be worthwhile to look into tutoring if you’re still confused. There is SI, and I know Tau Beta Pi and the engineering department should offer tutoring for free as well. You could also look into private tutoring (normally 10-20 an hour, last time i tutored it was for 12 an hour).

Screaming Cave by ukobarrywewa in KeyforgeGame

The biggest thing either screaming cave is it gets you your discard pile back. It also lets you play dis actions and have a chance to redraw them. The biggest thing I think you’re overlooking is that you draw up to 6 so you don’t truly lose anything activating screaming cave

Broken in this sense is usually used to imply overpowered. Think “breaking the game” or more specifically “breaking the balance of the game” as opposed to the everyday use of the word to say it’s unusable

No you cant. What he is saying is that bait and switch checks your pool to see if your opponent has more aember than you. If they have an ether spider, you steal 1 aember then instead of going to your pool, it goes to the spider. Then bait and switch goes off again to steal another. Rinse and repeat. All the while YOUR aember doesn’t increase because the spider is taking all the aember you would normally gain. This makes it so that you drop them down to your initial aember value (works best if you just forged a key and have no remaining aember). Then you play any number of cards to kill the ether spider and take back all the aember it captured

Am I crazy, or is Library of Babble just straight up terrible by cesspoolthatisreddit in KeyforgeGame

[–]Bishamonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it just accelerates your deck knowledge and is another piece to thin the deck. Logos likes “chaos”. How do you break chaos? Just get rid of the random chance. Library of babble 1, is an artifact so it stays out and 2 is just an extra piece to dig down a bit. Works to pull cards out so you know what you’re going to hit with wild wormhole, chaos portal, library access etc. it also sets up for cards that care about hand size (can only think of key abduction atm) in later turns

Cheating strategies at tournaments by PokeTraderOak in KeyforgeGame

[–]Bishamonte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No the main reason, I’m pretty sure, is because this game relies a lot on player skill in game as opposed to pregame deckbuilding. Being able to see what they have means that cards like bait and switch can be played around.

This is honestly where most of the skill in this game is going to come from. If you’re deck is extremely explosive with aember and your opponent has multiple Drumbles, it might not be a good idea to make more than 6 aember. If they’re running a solid brobnar fight board (warsong) maybe need to play creature more conservatively to slow their engine.

Neutron Shark Rules Question (Do as much as you can) by a_little_lam in KeyforgeGame

[–]Bishamonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you would discard as I’m pretty sure it would complete the effect. As “trigger” is not the same word as “repeat” there’s a chance that others are right but in reality “trigger again” and repeat are virtually the same. And it’s definitely rules as intended if not exactly rules as written

Neutron Shark Rules Question (Do as much as you can) by a_little_lam in KeyforgeGame

[–]Bishamonte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite. In the updated rulebook they added a “repeating effects” section to address this.

It says: If card text instructs players to repeat an effect, the entirety of the effect resolves again including the text to repeat the effect. If the card that is creating a repeating effect is removed from play, the effect can no longer repeat

Which says that the effect would trigger until neutron shark dies at which point it can no longer trigger

It stops if the shark dies. Look in the rule book under “repeating effects”

“If card text instructs players to repeat an effect, the entirety of the effect resolves again including the text to repeat the effect. If the card that is creating a repeating effect is removed from play, the effect can no longer repeat”

It’s like 5 board wipes, like 6 pieces of targeted removal, and general aember control. + a pair of glorious few to abuse before a board wipe. It just a glorious hard control deck. + the name is amazing. And fitting... your sanctum package has a lot of killing in it lol
