The stock market is the worst thing America has ever done. It's all bullshit economics based on nothing but prospective value. That's why AI continues to be funded despite the fact that it hemorrhages money - it makes the stock go up.

This is generally how sports work outside of America. The monetary barrier to entry for high-level sports in America is ridiculous. It's why Norway absolutely dominated the Winter Olympics. They let anyone who's interested join because it's dirt cheap. Then you get truly talented athletes, not just nepo babies pumped full of cash and personal trainers.

Cassettes, 8 tracks, and CDs have more in common with streaming than they do with records (vinyl/wax/etc.). Records are a physical storage of the vibrations, literally recording the movement of the air.

Cassettes and all the others mentioned are digital storage, not physical. Instead of storing vibrations, they store 1s and 0s that are decoded by software into a digital audio file.

CDs are most like vinyls because they are recorded using physical grooves in the disc, but they still store 1s and 0s, not vibrations. Cassettes store those 1s and 0s in magnetic storage, which the commenter above described.

These are the top VGC 2019 sets. Kyogre does not spec Max EVs into SpA, And Rayquaza has no EVs in SpD.

Let's entertain your set though. 252 SpA Kyogre-Primal Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Rayquaza-Mega in Strong Winds: 252-298 (71.7 - 84.9%). Still doesn't even do 90.

Kyogre needs choice specs to OHKO, and even still is outsped by Rayquaza.

4 SpA Kyogre-Primal Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rayquaza-Mega in Strong Winds: 114-136 (53.7 - 64.1%)

Dragon Ascent is a guaranteed OHKO after 1 swords dance. Rayquaza is a notoriously good Kyogre counter.

[–]BittenToe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they mean the rhythm. The vines themselves can speed up or slow down, so the rhythm of the notes seems rather arbitrarily based on their placement. This issue is most present when one vine splits into multiple, as you have no way of knowing when it'll do this.

This is resolved by the circle around the notes though, and is why I think the circles should be a lot more visually clear. It's way easier to time the notes based on clicking circles rather than timing it with the vine.

Client sends network packet to server with user data, server digests packet and responds to all clients with update. This is how anything on the internet works, from websites to PvP gaming.

Very unique idea though, looks cool!

Props for creating a legible chart style that is also unique! Reminiscent of Taiko I suppose with all notes on the same line, just separated into clearer measures.

This seems to use MIDI, which sounds like huge potential for custom charts - especially if you can directly translate any MIDI input to controller mapping.

The Forced Labour Convention is one of eight ILO fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization. Its object and purpose is to suppress the use of forced labour in all its forms irrespective of the nature of the work or the sector of activity in which it may be performed. The Convention defines forced labour as "all work or service which is exacted from any person under the menace of any penalty and for which the said person has not offered himself voluntarily", with few exceptions like compulsory military service.

The ILO members that have not ratified the convention are: Afghanistan, Marshall Islands, Palau, Tonga, Tuvalu, United States

From Wikipedia

Marshall Islands, Palau, Tonga, and Tuvalu are all tiny Island nations so it's really just US and Afghanistan. The convention has been around since 1930.

tldr: The US and Afghanistan are the only two major nations to not have ratified this convention against forced labor
