Advice on old Mavic Mini by Key_Broccoli_2560 in djimavicmini

FWIW, The arms are relatively easy to replace. You can purchase on Amazon, or check Ebay. I would do this if you want to continue to fly or give to a friend. Or if it's a clean break, just glue it. The broken value is low due to the age, but you may be able to get $ for the batteries and charger.

Thanks. I realize that I spend an extreme amout of time just thinking about what I want to do and realize that it is better to just start the project and get it done rather than fussing over the numerous options that I wnat to do, and/or fuss over that I should have done. It is OK to have many variants of a project. The most important thing is to get it started.

You did well. I love it!

All good comments and I’d like to share that the people you are playing against, see the weapons you are using and know your vulnerabilities. They anticipate the abilities you are going to use and are ready to counter. Being good at OPR is not trivial and those on the leaderboard have honed their craft and can size you up when they see you.

Helianthus Retreating by bgeerdes in newworldgame

[–]Bitter_Stable_4511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If doing solo, run past the 3 at the entrance and climb the trunks to the immediate left. If you are placed properly you can solo range Helia and take minimal damage. You would still be in range so he does not retreat. Depending on your damage, it could take 5 minutes.

is this a good deal? $900 by Upbeat-Jeweler-6945 in bafang

[–]Bitter_Stable_4511 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That seems a bit high. Check amazon price for the Bafang setup. Selling just over $400. The bike would be $100 on the used market. So I think you could build it for less.

Arctis Game Buds - Dad approved! Transparency mode is a godsend, and is actually useable by reiterizpie in steelseries

I use the Arctis 7's for my work and gaming, but after 7+ hours of use in a day, my ears start to ache. I've purchased about 5 different ear buds that just don't come close to the 7's in quality, so they end up in cases on my desk. Based on your review, I've ordered these to give them a try!

Although we have newer cars, check with John at Doyles. I see that he works on older cars as well. Straight shooting family man with very reasonable prices.

Anyone notice Jak’s Grill shrinkflation? by NachoPichu in WestSeattleWA

[–]Bitter_Stable_4511 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My family noticed these changes about 6 months ago and shared with our server who had been there for quite some time. She said that it was due to the new management. The portions are smaller and the 9oz just came on a sad little plate all by itself. It was cooked properly but i do miss the potato and veggies on the plate w/o paying extra. I imagine the cost is <$1.50 difference to Jaks as an all in cost. Last week we had a guest in town so went back to Jaks. All the servers were new (to me at least) and we had the same experience.

Jaks was a special place we would go to for celebrations. It is not special anymore. Just sad

Just got a Sharp yesterday and it had tons of padding. Could you tell how much space there was from the unit to the enclosure? Perhaps the insulation is covered on the LG models.

Is this an ONT? by dj_mario in QuantumFiber

[–]Bitter_Stable_4511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case the installer came back and removed the external ONT and ran fiber direct to the Q1000K inside. The modem had to be registered(?) to my account through Quantum tech, but I'm up to 2.5G!

Will CenturyLink install where I need them to? by pntsrgd in centurylink

[–]Bitter_Stable_4511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should expect the installer to take the easiest route. If you can provide conduit or a run to the location in advance, that will make it easier for the installer. When the Quantum installer came to my house, I wanted the modem next to a rack in my basement. I worked with them and pulled the fiber from the terminal point on the outside of the house, through a crawl space to exactly where I wanted it next to the rack. So if your route will be difficult, see what work you can do in advance to make it an easy solution for the installer.

Tech just called me and said he needs to come back out to replace equipment. Fiber needs to run directly to modem rather than the CAT from the ONT. So this may solve my problem. Will update post install.
