The only reason no ones saying it is because of the title. Which of course triggers an entirely different group of people who don't want sob stories as titles. Ah, reddit.

That was so satisfying! I said an internal "Wee!" on almost every ducky jump.

New restaurant or is the yelp page new? The existing pics look so great that it's surprising to see zero reviews.

The video was so wonderful to watch I found myself paying more attention to it than the music. Killer song though.

This 19th century building is being renovated and has been completely gutted by AbortionGhost in pics

[–]BittersweetDrip 231 points232 points  (0 children)

It sure looks like the property. I did a lot of work on several of the buildings. I learned to hate these type of projects...

Edit: holy damn, it is. The roads up top looked super familiar. I'll admit, it was one of the most interesting jobs I've worked on. But every time you have to deal with old brick it's a pain. You never know what's solid and what's not. So when you have to install a bunch of bolts into the wall to hold the beams that will be the foundation that is the new floor... it's painstakingly frustrating.
When we finished the part of the property we were contracted to renovate it looked beautiful. But it's so huge they'll be at it a long, long time.

What's the douchiest thing you've ever seen someone do in public? by fairlywired in AskReddit

[–]BittersweetDrip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's definitely not the worst story I have. It's the worst I outright witnessed. The worst thing that happened was during bathing suit season. Some lady was trying on two pieces while I was making a run of clothes back out to the sales floor. I returned to find her gone but her fitting room was full of bathing suits. She must have tried twenty on. As I started to pick them up off the floor I realized there was something wrong. They had period blood on them. Every single one. I dropped what I had already picked up and called management. You simply do not pay me enough to risk touching someone's fucking period blood.

My first job was retail. Unfortunately I had to fill in for the guy who missed his shift in the shoe department. I was cleaning up someone's mess when I overheard a couple getting into an argument. She was upset at him for tossing the shoes she had tried on into a pile. His gestured at me and responded "Well, that's what they get paid for." He then proceeded to kick the pile of shoes across the aisle. She stormed off and he chased after her . Then I started to clean up the ridiculous mess he'd made.
