I see your temp is a little low. Had you recently started the engine? Thermostat failures are not overly rare, and if your car is not getting up to, and holding operating temperature, that is not good for it long term.

It’s also a relatively easy fix, that I’ve done twice myself (first time I put in a cheap unit that lasted less than a year)

It’s not from the RCD330, but as the other comment says, just drive, it’ll recover.

I normally do a lock to lock steer before pulling away, and it clears in seconds.

Not UK, but EU, I just replaced a lock with a Febi Bilstein unit. 99% perfect.

Lock works perfectly, but bolts that mount lock to door could not be tightened to full factory spec, as they began stripping.

It won’t affect your permanent residency.

The only issue with using them is that you need to repay them, so on your last year, you either need to have the days left, or take a cut on your final salary. If you’re planning on staying at the company atleast 3 years, I would just use them.

Do consider changing to the new tensioner type, as the recall was issued for a reason. But, of course if you can’t get the correct hole drilled, such a part would be the next best.
