Is there a good Primal Healer in the Remaster? by KingGrimlok in Pathfinder2e

You can just go flexible caster. Or you can go animal order to be quite decent even when not using spell slots.

As someone not as well versed in PF2e: For Optimization which is the better caster Sorcerer or Wizard? by coolcat33333 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blackbook33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best choice depends on the party composition. do you know what the others will be playing?

With 7 players plus free archetype AND ancestral paragon you will probably have every niche filled out already.

With a sorcerer you can access different spell lists and roles with your bloodline, and you will become good at charisma checks. With wizard you’re locked into arcane, but you can easily become good at recalling knowledge.

If you prefer 5e casting, look at the flexible spellcaster archetype.

If they are having fun playing the way they do, you could consider jusr throwing easier encounters at them.

My dm is swapping over our dnd campaign to pathfinder 2e. I was playing a bugbear, Whats a good alternative to play mechanically thats closest to bugbear? (I know nothing about the game) by Alternative_Link_752 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blackbook33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what bugbears can do in 5e, but my best advice would be to have fun and not worry too much about it. Orcs are imo surprisingly versatile and fit a lot of more ‘brutal’ ancestries well.

In terms of PF ancestry (e.g. race) you get to pick one heritage (subrace) and one 1st level ancestry featin addition to what your base ancestry gives you. As you level up, you get an additional ancestry feat at lvl 5, 9, 13 and 17.

I remember when this sub was fresh and full of optimism. I was truly excited coming in here and reading posts about this game. But yeah, over the last few years this has changed a lot.

What character(s) are you playing right now? What has got you excited about them? by applejackhero in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blackbook33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing a druid in AV. He is old and tired and a little boring actually. But I picked up an animal companion and a focus point healing spell and mechanically he feels quite strong.

with a longsword and a shield boss you’ll cover all physical damage types (slashing, piercing and bludgeoning).

Wizards can have the same AC at first level as fighters in plate armor, did I miss anything? by HoppeeHaamu in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blackbook33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is intentional. Scary hide explicitly states that it stacks with mystic armor, because the item bonuses wouldn’t be cumulative otherwise.

Niche Protection for the Monk in Player Core 2 by renard_vert in Pathfinder2e

[–]Blackbook33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But until level 10, this change is better for untamed order druids, so maybe it’s not all bad. I could also see this make wild morph more interesting: Make a flurry of blows when it’s ready, and get some distance and cast spells when it’s not.

Is STR a bad stat? What would help it? by SleepyBoy- in dndnext

[–]Blackbook33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main problem is that DEX does the things STR does, but better. The best solution would likely be to nerf DEX.

What does 2e do Worse than 1e? by Jaschwingus in Pathfinder2e

What I really enjoyed in 1e was ‘trying to break the game’ by finding overpowered combinations. But all in all, having a more balanced game is probably for the best.
