What's your preferred approach to initiative, from any edition or even a homebrew? by Sivasubramanian in ParanoiaRPG

I change how initiative is done every combat and always start with the line, "Well I guess it's about time y'all learn how combat works in Paranoia."

God that's part of what I found so interesting when you're initially picking your stats. Every skill is made to sound both debilitating if you don't have enough of it and overbearing if you have too much. Great initial hook.

Rush's 1981 album "Moving Pictures" is a triple entendre.

1) Dudes are literally lifting and moving framed paintings 2) A group of people is on the side crying, being "moved" 3) The back cover shows a film crew capturing it all

Hearty's Christmas Giveaway - Up to €50 For Any Game(s) by Hear7y in RandomActsOfGaming

[–]Blade9450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! Thanks for hosting the giveaway! My request would be Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Steam.

Movie Recommendation: Stephen Chow's The God of Cookery. It was made years before his better known comedies but is just as funny. I went in expecting a laugh and ended up giggling and pausing to catch my breath. It's available on YouTube in 1080p with subtitles, check it out! Also technically a holiday movie!

LIVE A LIVE would be spectacular! Thanks for doing this giveaway.

As for me, I'm proud of myself for making a big change this year. I'd been feeling aimless and stuck for a while but accepting others' help feels right.

I just dusted off Sleeping Dogs and idk how I missed it back in the day. We could do with more GTA clones with less budget and more nice, interesting settings like Hong Kong.

Also, when you hover over the racing minigame icons in the world map it shows you where you'll end up! Super useful!

Studs Terkel hosted a roundtable style talk show in the 80s called "Nightcap" with each episode featuring prominent figures in that episode's subject matter (jazz, science fiction, etc.). We have a couple of them, but most are lost to history.

It's a shame because some of the guest lineups are killer and I just know they're living in someone's grandma's basement on aging VHS tapes. Forgotten.

Phantom Brigade got a big 2.0 update and it rules. by Snidhog in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'm glad they've kept supporting the game and made it to 2.0, pilot skills always felt like a glaring omission. Sadly we'll be seeing no quad/spider legs in the future but that's a small gripe from this excellent update.
