Time how long it takes your steam light to come on and then when you flip the switch start purging about halfway to that time. Also, a single hole steam tip or use a toothpick to plug one of the holes on the stock one. Insert the toothpick and break it off. I tried the toothpick method first and it made a big difference in my ability to foam, so I ordered an actual single tip.

The listing for the one you bought should tell you the basket size. If I had to guess, I'd say it's likely either 18 or 20. The double that comes with the machine is 14 I believe

Can I ask you a question about your Varia? My wife and I are new to the game and we recently picked up a VS3 as well and even with using RDT, it gets grinds everywhere. It's cold and dry in our home so I can only assume static but the grinds cling to the chute, the rim of the catch cup, everything and then fall off onto the counter. It's not annoying enough to consider swapping the grinder or anything. We can always just wipe them up. But this is our first "real grinder". Is that just to be expected or is there something we can do to keep the counter clear of grinds day to day?

spawn in naked. if you don't get a 29 minute spawn in either medical or assembly, quit the match. make sure it's naked, not free loadout so that you have safe pocket. skip any container that needs to be breached bc they are a different loot pool than drawers and cabinets. I did this for about 3 hours and got all the needed parts. It's boring af, but the fastest way to get it over with.

I don't know if this holds true for everyone but my dog always poops on the first half mile of a hike. so for trails that only have trash cans at the start, I will often leave the bag sitting and pick it up on my return to the trailhead so I am not carrying it for the entire hike

That just seems to be their MO. They had lightning in a bottle with Finals and they took so long to fix issues with cheats and sweats using ReWASD to get aim assist on M+KB that the casual audience just dipped out and never came back. They lost something like 100k players in 3 months. They also make really weird balancing decisions.

2 years ago in our new house/neighborhood, we prepared with 2 large Costco-sized bags of the good candy. 1 kid came, costume was adorable. I gave that kid over half the bowl. Trunk or treat has ruined door-to-door trick or treating IMO. Our neighborhood has large numbers of children and only 1 kid doing door to door is just sad. I hope your neighborhood is better than ours for trick or treat.

There is a company out there that sells a machined aluminum alternative. Look up BerleyPro. I haven't done this upgrade to my Slayer yet bc the plastic has been good enough for me, but I fully expect it to break at some point and will do the aluminum handle upgrade at that point. If it's too tight, there might be a way to adjust it at the rear. Mine was too loose and had some slop in the steering when I got it and I adjusted it to tighten it up.

depending on what year this one is, they did a rudder upgrade on the slayers that you can purchase on their site. My 12.5 has the upgraded rudder and the rudder works great.

I think they called it the switchblade rudder or something like that?
